Al-Qamar Verses 0 - 29

فَنَادَوۡاْ صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ ٢٩

He is referred to as (their companion) to indicate that they were content with his action; they were allied with him and supportive. Ibn Ashur: 27/201.
Question: People of Thamūd consented to the action of the one who hamstrung the she-camel. What is the evidence for that?

Al-Qamar Verses 34 - 35

إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٖۖ نَّجَّيۡنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٖ ٣٤ نِّعۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَن شَكَرَ ٣٥

Al-Qushayri said: Giving thanks to Allah for the blessings of protection [safety] is more complete than giving thanks to Him for the blessings of benefits. This is known only to those who are successful and prudent. Al-Biqai: 19/125.
Question: What are the types of blessings? Which ones are more deserving to thank Allah for?

Al-Qamar Verses 0 - 36

وَلَقَدۡ أَنذَرَهُم بَطۡشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوۡاْ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ٣٦

(Our assault), Our punishing seizure commensurate with Our Might. (Our assault) is in singular form to indicate that none of Allah's punishments should be taken lightly, rather, a single seizure by Him is more than enough, and no second one is needed. Al-Biqai: 19/125.
Question: (Our assault) is in singular form. Why?

Al-Qamar Verses 0 - 37

فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ ٣٧

They were specially commanded to (taste) due to their pleasure in their shameful act. Al-Biqai: 19/113
Question: The story of the people of Lot (u) ends with (So taste My punishment and warning). Why?

Al-Qamar Verses 0 - 47

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٖ ٤٧

(Indeed, the criminals), those who committed many evil deeds and grave sins, such as associating partners with Allah and other acts of disobedience (are in error and torment), they are misguided in this world, straying from knowledge and straying from righteous deeds that could save them from divine punishment, and on the Day of Resurrection, they will find themselves suffering a painful punishment. Al-Saadi: 827.
Question: Describe two acts of misguidance by criminals in this worldly life.

Al-Qamar Verses 0 - 48

يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ

The face is the noblest part of the body, where pain is felt more intensely than pain elsewhere in the body. Thus, they will be humiliated and disgraced. Al-Saadi: 828.
Question: Allah's way of punishing the criminals has physical and mental pains. Explain in light of this verse.
