ﭙ ﭚ ﭛ ﭜ ﭝ ﭞ ﭟ ﭠ ﭡ ﭢ
ﭣ ﭤ ﭥ ﭦ ﭧ ﭨ ﭩ ﭪ ﭫ ﭬ ﭭ ﭮ
ﭯ ﭰ ﭱ ﭲ ﭳ ﭴ ﭵ ﭶ ٢٥ ٢٥ ﭸ ﭹ
ﭺ ﭻ ﭼ ﭽ ﭾ ﭿ ﮀ ﮁ ﮂ ﮃ ﮄ ﮅ
ﮆ ﮇ ﮈ ﮉ ﮊ ﮋ ﮌ ﮍ ﮎ
ﮏ ﮐ ﮑ ﮒ ﮓ ﮔ ﮕ ﮖ ﮗ
ﮘ ﮙ ﮚ ﮛ ﮜ ﮝ ﮞ ﮟ ﮠ ﮡ
ﮢ ﮣ ٢٦ ٢٦ ﮥ ﮦ ﮧ ﮨ ﮩ ﮪ
ﮫ ﮬ ﮭ ﮮ ﮯ ﮰ ﮱ ﯓ ﯔ
ﯕ ﯖ ﯗ ﯘ ﯙ ﯚ ٢٧ ٢٧ ﯜ
ﯝ ﯞ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ ﯢ ﯣ ﯤ
ﯥ ﯦ ﯧ ﯨ ﯩ ٢٨ ٢٨ ﯫ ﯬ ﯭ
ﯮ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﯲ ﯳ ﯴ ﯵ ﯶ
ﯷ ﯸ ﯹ ﯺ ﯻ ﯼ ﯽ ﯾ ٢٩ ٢٩
وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
It is encouraged to give glad tidings to the believers and motivate them to do good deeds by mentioning the rewards and incentives, as this will make doing such deeds light and easy. Al-Saadi: 47.
Question: What is the importance of receiving glad tidings in the lives of the believers?
وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۖ
Mu'ath bin Jabal (t) said: "A righteous deed consists of four things: Knowledge, intention, patience and sincerity." Al-Baghawi 1/27.
Question: When is a deed considered righteous?
وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۖ
The beauty of the gardens is complemented by the water flowing through them, which is something that all humans agree is one of the most beautiful sights. Ibn Ashur: 1/354.
Question: This verse states that the rivers flow underneath the gardens. Why?
وَلَهُمۡ فِيهَآ أَزۡوَٰجٞ مُّطَهَّرَةٞۖ
When describing them as purified, Allah does not specify a certain defect, which indicates that they will be pure in all aspects. They will be pure in terms of their manner and character, free of physical defects, pure in speech and chaste in their gaze. Al-Saadi: 46.
Question: Allah describes the women in Paradise as (purified) in general. Why?
وَهُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
This is the ultimate happiness, for the believers will enjoy everlasting delight, safe from death and disruption of their bliss, and it will never end or cease. Ibn Kathir: 1/61.
Question: Why is the mention of the bliss of the people of Paradise concluded with them being eternal in it?
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلٗاۘ يُضِلُّ بِهِۦ كَثِيرٗا وَيَهۡدِي بِهِۦ كَثِيرٗاۚ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ٢٦
This is a rebuke to anyone who is misguided by misinterpreting the Quran, he is "Fasiq" (defiantly disobedient), not because he was "Fasiq" before that. Saad bin Abi Waqqas (t) inferred from this verse that Al-Khawarij (a deviant sect) were defiantly disobedient since they were misguided by misinterpreting the Quran. Hence, whoever is misguided by misinterpreting the Quran is Fasiq. Ibn Taimyah: 1/187.
Question: Whoever distorts the meanings of the Holy Quran far from the way of the righteous predecessors is "Fasiq". Explain.
يُضِلُّ بِهِۦ كَثِيرٗا وَيَهۡدِي بِهِۦ كَثِيرٗاۚ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ٢٦
That is: By the blessing of their belief in goodness and their submission to their Lord, He guides them through their faith, makes them understand what is intended by it, and opens their hearts to the knowledge it contains, thus increasing their faith, reassurance and certainty. In reality, the guided are many, but they are few in comparison to the misguided. Al-Biqai: 1/77.
Question: Who is more likely to receive Allah's guidance for understanding the Quran?
