One of His greatest mercies is the sending down of this Book, which brought know ledge, guidance, light, healing, mercy and much good; it is among the greatest blessings that He has bestowed upon His servants. Al-Saadi: 744.
Question: Describe Allah's greatest mercy on this Muslim Ummah.
Meaning: The branches under every topic are explained individually. This requires complete explanation, distinguishing between topics, and making facts clear and distinct. Al-Saadi: 744.
Question: What do you learn from Allah's saying, (A Book whose verses have been detailed)?
(They do not hear): This is a negation of their beneficial hearing. Ibn Atiyah: 5/4.
Question: What kind of hearing is negated from those disbelievers?
This barrier was the difference in religion; theirs was worshiping idols while Muhammad’s (ﷺ) religion is worshiping only Allah Who has no partners, and that was the barrier they claimed to have existed between them and the Prophet of Allah. Al-Tabari: 21/429.
Question: The disbelievers claimed that a barrier existed between them and the Messenger. What was it?
Meaning: I am not an angel, I am from the sons of Adam. Alhasan said: Allah teaches him modesty. Al-Qurtubi: 18/392.
Question: From this verse, show the importance of modesty.
If you say: From among the traits of the polytheists, why is withholding zakah combined with disbelieving in the Hereafter? I say: Because wealth is the most beloved thing to a man, and it is called: The soul's twin. So, if he spends in the cause of Allah, that becomes the strongest evidence of his firm belief, true intention, and inner purity, as indicated by this verse, (And the likeness of those who spend their wealth, seeking the pleasure of Allah and making firm their own souls)[2:265], they make firm their own souls and prove it by spending out of their wealth. Al-Qurtubi: 18/393.
Question: Why is withholding zakah combined with disbelieving in the Hereafter?
The wisdom behind creating all these creatures over extended periods of time even though Allah is capable of creating them at once, in order to teach His servants prudence and deliberation. Ibn Atiyah: 5/5.
Question: What is the wisdom behind creating all these creatures over extended periods of time even though Allah is capable of creating them at once?
