Ghafir Verses 0 - 80

In this verse, the benefits refer to what are equivalent to the benefit of eating, as said, (and some of them you eat) such as benefiting from their fur, milk, value, and payment for blood money and dowry. Moreover, benefiting from their hides as shades and mats to sit on, and enjoying their beauty when going out to graze and when coming back to rest. Ibn Ashur: 24/215-216.
Question: List some of the benefits implied in Allah's saying: (And for you therein are [other] benefits).

Ghafir Verses 0 - 82

Ghafir Verses 0 - 83

This is general in application, and includes all kinds of knowledge that are used to oppose the message brought by the Messengers. One of the branches of knowledge that most deserved to be included in this category is the field of philosophy, especially Greek philosophy, on the basis of which many verses of the Quran were rejected. Moreover, it undermined respect for the Quran in people's hearts, regarding its definitive proofs as mere verbal proofs that do not lead to certainty, and giving precedence to the views of foolish people and followers of falsehood over the proofs of the Quran. This is one of the worst ways of distorting the meanings of Allah’s revelations, opposing and contradicting them. Al-Saadi: 744.
Question: When can some branches of knowledge be considered harmful? Discuss that in light of this verse.

Ghafir Verses 0 - 83

The pronoun (them) refers to denying nations, and their (knowledge) can be interpreted in several ways, first: Their belief that they would not be resurrected nor would they be held to account. Second: Their knowledge of worldly benefits and earnings. Third: Knowledge of philosophers who disdain Sharia teachings. Ibn Juzay: 2/286.
Question: This verse presents evidence that some types of knowledge can be harmful to its owner. Give examples of that.

It is called (knowledge) in accordance with their claim, but, in fact, it is ignorance. Al-Qurtubi: 18/55.
Question: Do these deniers possess real knowledge?

Ghafir Verses 0 - 84

Allah describes the situation of some disbelievers who accepted faith after being overwhelmed by punishment, but it did not benefit them. By mentioning that Allah urges the Arabs to hasten to accept the faith and not procrastinate, lest they face a punishment with which no repentance will benefit them. Ibn Atiyah: 4/572.
Question: What is the benefit of informing Quraish that faith will be of no avail when punishment befall them?

Ghafir Verses 0 - 85

Meaning: Allah has decreed that the faith of disbelievers when they face punishment is of no avail to them, and repentance will not be accepted after witnessing the punishment and becoming exposed to the truth. Al-Qurtubi: 18/386.
Question: The verse mentions one of Allah's ways with His creation. What is it?
