ءَاتِنَا غَدَآءَنَا

It is recommended for a person to feed his servant the same food that he himself eats, and to eat together with him, because the apparent meaning of Moses' words, (Bring us our meal), refers to both of them and suggests that they would eat together. Al-Saadi: 483.

This is a question phrased in gentle terms, with no sense of force or coercion. This is the manner in which the seeker of knowledge should address the scholar. Ibn Kathir: 3/94.
Question: This verse contains an etiquette that should be observed by the seeker of knowledge toward the scholar. What is it?

Al-Kahf Verses 0 - 66

قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ هَلۡ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمۡتَ رُشۡدٗا ٦٦

Beneficial knowledge is that which guides toward good. Any knowledge that provides guidance to the ways of goodness and warning against the ways of evil, or being a means of achieving that, are regarded as beneficial knowledge. All other knowledge is either harmful or of no benefit because Moses (u) said, (so that you may teach me some of that sound knowledge that you have been taught). Al-Saadi: 484.
Question: Moses (u) requested Al-Khidr to teach him sound knowledge, not just any knowledge. Why?

Al-Kahf Verses 0 - 67

قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسۡتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبۡرٗا ٦٧

Here is a fundamental principle in teaching; the teacher should alert his student of possible difficulties that he may encounter in learning, especially if acquiring such knowledge is challenging. Ibn Ashur: 15/372.
Question: The verse indicates a fundamental principle in teaching. What is it?

Al-Kahf Verses 0 - 67

قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسۡتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبۡرٗا ٦٧

Meaning: You will not be able to accompany me when you see me doing things that go against your Sharia. Ibn Kathir: 3/94.
Question: Moses (u) could not be patient with what Al-Khidr did. Why?
