Al-Hijr Verses 92 - 93

فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ ٩٢ عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٩٣

Ibn Abbas (t) said: "Allah will not question them whether they did this or that because He is the All-Knowing, rather, that questioning is a scathing rebuke to them." Al-Qurtubi: 12/260.
Question: What type of questioning Allah will direct to the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection?

Al-Hijr Verses 0 - 95

إِنَّا كَفَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ ٩٥

This is a promise from Allah to His Messenger (ﷺ) that those who ridiculed him would not be able to harm him, and that Allah would suffice him against them by means of whatever kinds of punishment He willed. And He did indeed do that, for no one openly ridiculed the Messenger of Allah and the message he brought, but Allah destroyed him and caused him to die in the worst manner. Al-Saadi: 435.
Question: Allah promised His Messenger (ﷺ) that He would suffice him against the mockers. How is that done? What is Sharia rule on those who mock Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)?

Al-Hijr Verses 95 - 96

إِنَّا كَفَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ ٩٥ ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ ٩٦

Allah describes those mockers as polytheists to console His Messenger (ﷺ) and lessen his distress by informing him that they had committed even a greater sin by their shirk. Al-Alusi: 14/441.
Question: After informing His Messenger that He would suffice him against the mockers, Allah describes the mockers as polytheists, what is the lesson in that?

Al-Hijr Verses 0 - 99

وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَكَ ٱلۡيَقِينُ ٩٩

Omar bin Abdulaziz used to say: "I have not seen a certain matter which is so similar to a doubtful one like the people certainty of death, yet they do not prepare themselves for it." It means that they act as if it is a doubtful matter. Al-Qurtubi: 12/265.
Question: Allah calls death (certainty), what is the lesson in this for the believer?

An-Nahl Verses 0 - 1

أَتَىٰٓ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ

In the Arabic text, Allah is informing us about the approach of the Hour (Last Day) in the past tense form in order to confirm that it will undoubtedly come to pass. Ibn Kathir: 2/541.
Question: Allah is informing about the approach of the Hour (Last Day) in the past tense. Why? What is the lesson in this for the believer?

An-Nahl Verses 0 - 2

يُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ بِٱلرُّوحِ مِنۡ أَمۡرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦٓ

In the Arabic text, the word "soul/spirit" is used for revelation. It is called so because it breathes life into people's hearts. Al-Baghawi: 2/604.
Question: Allah calls His revelation a "soul/spirit". Why?

An-Nahl Verses 5 - 6

وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمَ خَلَقَهَاۖ لَكُمۡ فِيهَا دِفۡءٞ وَمَنَٰفِعُ وَمِنۡهَا تَأۡكُلُونَ ٥ وَلَكُمۡ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ حِينَ تُرِيحُونَ وَحِينَ تَسۡرَحُونَ ٦

This Surah is called the Surah of blessings, because in the beginning Allah mentions the basic blessings, and at the end of it He mentions other blessings that complete those basic ones. Al-Saadi: 435-436.
Question: Surat An-Nahl is called Surah of the blessings. Why?
