ﭥ ٨٧ ٨٧ ﭧ ﭨ ﭩ ﭪ ﭫ ﭬ
ﭭ ﭮ ﭯ ﭰ ﭱ ﭲ ﭳ ﭴ
ﭵ ﭶ ﭷ ﭸ ﭹ ﭺ ﭻ ﭼ
٨٨ ٨٨ ﭾ ﭿ ﮀ ﮁ ﮂ ﮃ ﮄ ﮅ ﮆ
ﮇ ٨٩ ٨٩ ﮉ ﮊ ﮋ ﮌ ﮍ ﮎ ﮏ ﮐ
ﮑ ﮒ ﮓ ﮔ ﮕ ﮖ ﮗ ﮘ ﮙ ﮚ ﮛ ﮜ ﮝ
ﮞ ﮟ ﮠ ﮡ ﮢ ٩٠ ٩٠ ﮤ ﮥ ﮦ
ﮧ ﮨ ﮩ ﮪ ﮫ ﮬ ٩١ ٩١ ﮮ ﮯ ﮰ
ﮱ ﯓ ﯔ ﯕ ﯖ ﯗ ﯘ ﯙ ﯚ ﯛ
٩٢ ٩٢ ﯝ ﯞ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ ﯢ ﯣ ﯤ
ﯥ ﯦ ﯧ ﯨ ٩٣ ٩٣ ﯪ ﯫ
ﯬ ﯭ ﯮ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﯲ ﯳ ﯴ ﯵ
ﯶ ٩٤ ٩٤ ﯸ ﯹ ﯺ ﯻ ﯼ ﯽ ٩٥ ٩٥
يَٰبَنِيَّ ٱذۡهَبُواْ فَتَحَسَّسُواْ مِن يُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ وَلَا تَاْيۡـَٔسُواْ مِن رَّوۡحِ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يَاْيۡـَٔسُ مِن رَّوۡحِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ ٨٧
Hope makes a person strive to achieve what he wishes for, whereas despair leads to apathy and giving up. Al-Saadi: 404.
Question: What is the benefit of trusting in Allah, and not despair of His mercy?
إِنَّهُۥ لَا يَاْيۡـَٔسُ مِن رَّوۡحِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ ٨٧
Despair is a trait of the disbelievers because it is caused by denying the Lordship of Allah, or by the [ignorance] of the Attributes of Allah such as His Capability, His Bounty and His Mercy. Ibn Juzay: 1/425.
Question: Why is despair a trait of the disbelievers?
فَلَمَّا دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ قَالُواْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡعَزِيزُ مَسَّنَا وَأَهۡلَنَا ٱلضُّرُّ وَجِئۡنَا بِبِضَٰعَةٖ مُّزۡجَىٰةٖ فَأَوۡفِ لَنَا ٱلۡكَيۡلَ وَتَصَدَّقۡ عَلَيۡنَآۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُتَصَدِّقِينَ ٨٨ قَالَ هَلۡ عَلِمۡتُم مَّا فَعَلۡتُم بِيُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ إِذۡ أَنتُمۡ جَٰهِلُونَ ٨٩
When they complained, he was moved by their situation and revealed his identity to them. Ibn Juzay: 1/425.
Question: Shed some light on the effect of a good speech on the souls, and how it can change views.
إِنَّهُۥ مَن يَتَّقِ وَيَصۡبِرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجۡرَ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ٩٠
Meaning: He fears Allah and bears patiently with trials and against committing sins. (Allah will not let the reward of those who do good to go to waste), those who remain patient with His trial and in His obedience. Al-Qurtubi: 11/443.
Question: When does the servant reach the honor in this worldly life and the Hereafter?
قَالَ لَا تَثۡرِيبَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَۖ يَغۡفِرُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ أَرۡحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ ٩٢
He dropped his right by saying, (no blame will there be upon you today), then he invoked Allah to forgive them for violating his right. Ibn Juzay: 1/426.
Question: In this verse, a great example of the high morals of Prophets. Explain.
قَالَ لَا تَثۡرِيبَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَۖ يَغۡفِرُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ أَرۡحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ ٩٢
Meaning: No reproach on you today, and I will not mention your misdeed to you after today. Al-Baghawi: 2/494.
Question: Joseph (u) had forgiven his brothers to a great extent. How?
ٱذۡهَبُواْ بِقَمِيصِي هَٰذَا فَأَلۡقُوهُ عَلَىٰ وَجۡهِ أَبِي يَأۡتِ بَصِيرٗا
Jacob's sorrow began with Joseph's shirt which was stained with false blood, so Joseph (u) picked his shirt from among his items to be the beginning of his father's joy. He wanted his shirt to be a source of joy after it was a cause for sorrow to his father. Al-Alusi: 14/103.
Question: Why did Joseph (u) pick his shirt from among his items?
