Allah states that the people of mercy do not differ with each other; they are the followers of the Prophets in words and in deeds, and they are the people of Quran and Hadith in this Muslim nation. Whoever differs with them, will miss a share in mercy that is equivalent to the extent of his difference with them. Hence, since philosophers are the furthest away from following the Prophets, they are in extreme difference with each other. These sects: Khawarij, Mu'tazila, and Shiats are far way from Sunnah and Hadith, and therefore, they are in great differences, especially Shiats who, of all sects, have the most differences because they are the furthest away from the people of Sunnah. Ibn Taimyah: 3/562.
Question: The verse indicates that people of Sunnah are less likely to differ with each other, and the people of religious innovation are in extreme difference with each other. How?
So that your heart may be reassured and made steadfast and patient, as the Messengers of firm resolve were patient, because hearts feel at ease when they have an example to follow, they will be energized to do righteous deeds, and will want to compete in doing them. So, the truth is supported by mentioning the proofs thereof and the large number of people who follow it. Al-Saadi: 392.
Question: Which aspects of the stories that make the heart steadfast and reassured?
Reliance upon Allah and seeking His help is an act of worship, but it is singled out for mention so that the worshiper focuses on it. It is the driving force behind performing all acts of worship since Allah cannot be worshiped without His help. Ibn Taimyah: 3/563.
Question: Reliance upon Allah is singled out for mention even though it is an act of worship. Why?
The Arabic language is the most eloquent, plain, deep and expressive of the meanings that might arise in one's mind. Therefore, the most honorable Book, was revealed in the most honorable language. Ibn Kathir: 2/448.
Question: Why was the Quran revealed in the Arabic language?
The most honorable Book, was revealed in the most honorable language, to the most honorable Prophet and Messenger (ﷺ) delivered by the most honorable angel, in the most honorable land on earth, and its revelation started during the most honorable month of the year, Ramadan. Therefore, the Quran is perfect in every respect. Ibn Kathir: 2/448.
Question: The Quran is honored in many aspects. What are they?
This story is one of the best and clearest of stories, because it moves from one situation to another, from trial to trial, from trial to blessing, from humiliation to honor, from slavery to a position of authority, from separation and fragmentation to reunion and harmony, from sorrow to joy, from ease to hardship, from hardship to ease, from restriction to abundance, and from denial to admission. Al-Saadi: 407.
Question: Why is the story of Joseph (u) one of the best of stories?
It should be noted that Allah states that He tells His Messenger (ﷺ) the best of stories in this Book, then He tells this story and explains it, and tells what happened. Thus, it is known that it is a complete, perfect and beautiful story. Whoever wants to augment it or improve on it by narrating what is mentioned in the Jewish sources (Israeliyat) that have no known chain of narration or narrator, and most of which are false, thinks he is filling so-called gaps in the story that Allah revealed, and he is trying to perfect something that he claims is lacking. Al-Saadi: 393.
Question: What do you think of those who add to the story of Joseph (u) what is not narrated in Quran or Sunnah?
