Al-An'am Verses 0 - 139

(He is All-Wise, All-Knowing), this is the reasoning of Allah's promise to recompense them for their fabrication. The All-Wise, All-Knowing of what they did will not let them go unpunished since that is ordained by His wisdom. Al-Alusi: 8/389.
Question: The verse concludes with the attributes of wisdom and knowledge. Why?

Al-An'am Verses 0 - 139

This verse proves that a scholar should learn the opposing argument to his views, even if he does not subscribe to it, so that he can identify its fallacy and be able to respond to it. That is why Allah informed His Messenger (ﷺ) and his Companions about the arguments of those who opposed them in their lifetime so that they would know the fallacies of their arguments. Al-Qurtubi: 9/48.
Question: What is the useful lesson that a student of Islamic studies can learn from this verse.

Al-An'am Verses 0 - 139

One of their foolish notions was that they would make what in the wombs of certain livestock - which they specified - prohibited to females but not to males, so they said, (What is in the bellies of these livestock is exclusively for our males) which means it is permissible for them, and women have no share in it (And is forbidden to our females) our womenfolk. This would apply if the offspring was born alive, but if it was stillborn, then they all had a share of it - in other words, it was permissible for both males and females. Al-Saadi: 276.
Question: In this verse, there is a comparison between man-made laws and Sharia laws. Explain.

Al-An'am Verses 0 - 140

The Holy Quran often uses the word (loss) to describe the actions of those who seek to please Allah and achieve His reward, but they fell under His wrath and punishment because they exerted themselves [in doing the wrong things] and therefore, found the opposite of what they strived for. Ibn Ashur: 8/113.
Question: The verse mentions the true loss. What is it?

Al-An'am Verses 0 - 141

Allah commands them to give its due zakah on the day of harvest because that is the time when the poor would expect it, and at that time it is easy for the growers to give it. Thus, the one who gives it will be known, and will stand out from the one who does not. Al-Saadi: 276.
Question: Allah commands them to give its due zakat on the day of harvest. Why?

Al-An'am Verses 0 - 141

Az-Zuhri (a prominent scholar) said: "Meaning: Do not spend your wealth to disobey Allah." Similar meaning was reported from Mujahid who said: "If one spends as much as Abi Qabees (a mountain in Makkah) in gold for the cause of Allah, he will not be considered wasteful, but if he spends a single Dirham in disobeying Allah, then he is wasteful." Al-Alusi: 8/392.
Question: The righteous predecessors explained the forbidden wastefulness. What is it?

Al-An'am Verses 0 - 141

Meaning: Do not be wasteful in eating because this spoils the mind and the body. Allah says in another verse: (And eat and drink, but do not waste, for He does not like the wasteful) [7:31]. In his Sahih, Al-Bukhari recorded a Hadith without a chain of narration: (Eat, drink and clothe yourselves without extravagance or arrogance). Ibn Kathir: 2/174.
Question: Why are we forbidden from being wasteful in eating?
