Al-Awza'i (a prominent scholar) said: There is no step more likable to Allah than the step taken to reconcile between people. Whoever reconciles between two feuding people, Allah will give him an immunity from Hellfire. Al-Qurtubi: 7/129. Question: How important is reconciliation between people? What is its virtue?
Conflict, disputes and mutual resentment lead to unlimited evil and division. Hence, Allah enjoins bringing about reconciliation between people with regard to matters of blood, wealth and honor, and even when there are differences of religions. Al-Saadi: 202.
Question: How important is reconciliation between people?
(And follows other than the way of the believers): Islamic scholars inferred from this verse that the consensus of Muslims is valid and binding, and that it is not permissible to oppose it. Whoever opposes it, will follow a path other than that of the believers. Ibn Juzay: 1/210.
Question: If the Muslims agree unanimously on a matter, it is forbidden to dissent from it. Explain in light of this verse.
If someone were to ask: How does satan take a specific portion from among Allah's servants? The answer would be: By misleading them away from the straight path, calling them to follow him, and making misguidance and disbelief attractive to them until he leads them astray from the straight path. Whoever among them answers satan's call and follows his deceit, will become one of satan's specific portion. At-Tabari: 9/212.
Question: How does satan take a specific portion from among the servants of Allah?
It was said that false hopes of satan are inciting them to follow their own whims, to believe that there is no Paradise, Hellfire nor resurrection. Also, that they will enter Paradise in the Hereafter even when continuing to have a sinful life. Al-Baghawi: 1/600.
Question: What are satan's false hopes so that we can avoid them?
This implies that the one who does such actions is discontent with Allah's creation, doubts His wisdom, and believes that what they do with their hands is better than the creation of the Most Merciful, and that they are not content with His decree and creation. Al-Saadi: 204.
Question: Why is changing Allah's creation a work of the devil?
Meaning: Delusion is adorning with falsehood, deception, trickery and disguise, showing what has no reality -or has a bad reality- in the most beautiful, noble, and pleasant reality to the soul and most desirable to human nature . Al-Biqai: 2/321.
Question: What is meant by describing satan's promise as delusion?
