An-Nisa Verses 0 - 82

One of the benefits of reflecting upon the Book of Allah is that it causes the individual to become certain in faith and knowledge that it is the words of Allah. Al-Saadi: 190.
Question: What is the benefit of reflecting upon the Quran?

An-Nisa Verses 0 - 82

The above verse and this verse (Then do they not reflect upon the Quran, or are there locks upon their hearts) [47:24] indicate that reflecting upon the Holy Quran to know its meanings is mandatory. Al-Qurtubi: 6/477.
Question: What is the ruling on reflecting upon the Holy Quran?

An-Nisa Verses 0 - 82

Meaning: A contradiction as in the speech of humans, or a variation in its level of eloquence, but the Holy Quran is impeccable which proves that it is the word of Allah. If one has doubts about something in the Quran, then he must question his own judgement, and ask scholars. He should study their writings until he comes to know that indeed the Holy Quran is free of contradictions. Ibn Juzay: 1/200.
Question: What one must do when he has doubts about something in the Holy Quran?

An-Nisa Verses 0 - 85

Examples of interceding in a good cause are relieving a Muslim of distress, removing injustice, or bringing about a benefit for him. Interceding in an evil cause, however, is just the opposite of that. Al-Juzay: 1/201.
Question: Give some examples of interceding in a good cause and interceding in an evil one?

An-Nisa Verses 0 - 85

Interceding in a good cause is reconciliation between people, and interceding in an evil cause is spreading malicious gossip among people. Al-Baghawi: 1/568.
Question: What is interceding in a good cause and interceding in an evil one?

An-Nisa Verses 0 - 86

How good it is that these verses follow the verse on Jihad, indicating that whoever offers peace, then we must stop fighting him, even in war. One of the implications of these two verses is that the structure of this Surah is based on encouraging kindness, compassion and communication, the greatest of which is gentle speech, because it reflects what is in the heart and manifests in intercession and greeting. Al-Biqai: 2/292.
Question: The verses on intercession and greeting follow the verses on Jihad. Why?

An-Nisa Verses 0 - 86

This is guidance to a type of noble morals and best of deeds. It means that if Allah bestows a favor upon you, then you should offer the best of it in His cause, give some of it to charity, and return some of it back to Allah through the needy. Indeed, Allah is the best of those who grant success. Al-Alusi: 5/104.
Question: What does it mean to respond with a better greeting?
