An-Naba Verses 0 - 35

لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوٗا وَلَا كِذَّٰبٗا ٣٥

This is similar to this verse, (Free from any vain talk, and free from sin)[52:23]. Meaning: There will not be any vain, worthless speech therein, nor any sinful lying. Rather, it will be the abode of peace, and everything in it will be free of any shortcomings. Ibn Kathir: 4/465.
Question: This verse mentions a type of intrapersonal bliss. Explain.

An-Naba Verses 0 - 35

لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوٗا وَلَا كِذَّٰبٗا ٣٥

While the immense pain inflicted by the Fire on the senses of its dwellers through burning their bodies and giving them to drink scalding water and foul purulence, so that the torment will be internal as well as external, Allah prevents the least amount of annoyance from reaching the dwellers of the Paradise, which is what people do not like to hear; and that is the least amount of annoyance. Ibn Ashur: 30/46.
Question: This verse precludes the dwellers of Paradise from hearing vain talk and lies. How does this pertain to the preceding verses?

An-Naba Verses 0 - 40

إِنَّآ أَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡ عَذَابٗا قَرِيبٗا يَوۡمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡكَافِرُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَٰبَۢا ٤٠

(Oh, I wish that I were dust), that is what the disbeliever will say on the Day of Resurrection when no repentance will be accepted nor a good deed will avail anything. However, those who say this in worldly life because of their fear of Allah will be rewarded for it, as Mary (o) said: (Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten). This is not the same as wishing for death on the Day of Resurrection. Ibn Taimyah: 6/456.
Question: What is the difference between regretting a sin in worldly life and the Hereafter?

An-Naba Verses 0 - 40

إِنَّآ أَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡ عَذَابٗا قَرِيبٗا يَوۡمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡكَافِرُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَٰبَۢا ٤٠

Abu Huraira and Ibn Omar (j) said: On the Day of Resurrection, retribution will be carried out among animals, then, Allah will say to them: Be dust, and they will. Thereupon, the disbeliever will wish the same. Indeed, the Day of Judgment is of immense greatness and surely inevitable. Al-Biqai: 21/216.
Question: When will the disbeliever wish to be dust? Why would he wish for that?

An-Nazi'at Verses 0 - 2

وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشۡطٗا ٢

Some of the righteous predecessors said: The angels ease out the souls of the believers and let them rest for a while, then, they remove them gently, like a swimmer in the water, moving slowly so he would not drown. They remove the soul softly so that the believer would not feel pain or hardship. Al-Alusi: 30/23.
Question: Explain how the angels take the souls of the believers. Why?

An-Nazi'at Verses 0 - 9

قُلُوبٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ وَاجِفَةٌ ٨ أَبۡصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٞ ٩

(Their eyes humbled): This is a metaphor for humiliation and fear. Ibn Juzay: 1/2545.
Question: In this verse, the eyes are described as humbled, what does that indicate?

An-Nazi'at Verses 0 - 15

هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ ١٥

This is a consolation to the Prophet (ﷺ). Meaning: Pharaoh was more powerful than the disbelievers of your time, but We punished him, and thus will do to these disbelievers. Al-Qurtubi: 22/53.
Question: Allah relates the story of Moses and Pharaoh to His Prophet (ﷺ). Why?
