ﭚ ﭛ ﭜ ﭝ ﭞ ﭟ ﭠ ﭡ ﭢ ﭣ
ﭤ ﭥ ﭦ ﭧ ﭨ ﭩ ﭪ ﭫ ﭬ ﭭ ﭮ
ﭯ ﭰ ﭱ ﭲ ﭳ ﭴ ﭵ ﭶ ﭷ ﭸ
ﭹ ﭺ ﭻ ﭼ ﭽ ﭾ ﭿ ﮀ ﮁ ﮂ ١ ١ ﮄ
ﮅ ﮆ ﮇ ﮈ ﮉ ﮊ ﮋ ﮌ
ﮍ ﮎ ﮏ ﮐ ٢ ٢ ﮒ ﮓ ﮔ ﮕ ﮖ ﮗ
ﮘ ﮙ ﮚ ﮛ ﮜ ﮝ ﮞ ﮟ ﮠ ٣ ٣ ﮢ ﮣ
ﮤ ﮥ ﮦ ﮧ ﮨ ﮩ ﮪ ﮫ ﮬ ﮭ ﮮ
ﮯ ﮰ ﮱ ﯓ ﯔ ﯕ ﯖ ﯗ ﯘ ﯙ ﯚ
ﯛ ﯜ ﯝ ﯞ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ ﯢ ﯣ ﯤ
ﯥ ﯦ ﯧ ﯨ ﯩ ﯪ ﯫ ﯬ ﯭ ﯮ ﯯ ﯰ
ﯱ ﯲ ﯳ ﯴ ﯵ ﯶ ﯷ ٤ ٤ ﯹ ﯺ ﯻ
ﯼ ﯽ ﯾ ﯿ ﰀ ﰁ ﰂ ﰃ ﰄ ﰅ ﰆ ٥ ٥
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُواْ عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ تُلۡقُونَ إِلَيۡهِم بِٱلۡمَوَدَّةِ
For once affection is formed, it will be followed by support and taking the friend as an ally. This puts a person beyond the pale of faith, and he will become one of the disbelievers; he will no longer be part of the community of faith. Al-Saadi: 855.
Question: Having affection toward the disbelievers is prohibited. Why?
وَأَنَا۠ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَآ أَخۡفَيۡتُمۡ وَمَآ أَعۡلَنتُمۡ
Meaning: There is no point in concealment if you know that I Am All-Aware of it, but if you assume that I do not know it, then you are doomed. Al-Biqai: 19/488.
Question: What is the benefit of being aware that Allah knows what is concealed and what is declared. Why?
إِن يَثۡقَفُوكُمۡ يَكُونُواْ لَكُمۡ أَعۡدَآءٗ وَيَبۡسُطُوٓاْ إِلَيۡكُمۡ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ وَأَلۡسِنَتَهُم بِٱلسُّوٓءِ وَوَدُّواْ لَوۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ ٢
The faith of the believers is more valuable to them than their souls because they sacrifice them for it, and the enemy's highest priority is targeting the most valuable thing that his opponent has.
Al-Alusi: 14/263.
Question: What is the most valuable thing to the believers? What is the enemy’s most priority?
لَن تَنفَعَكُمۡ أَرۡحَامُكُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡۚ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ يَفۡصِلُ بَيۡنَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٞ ٣
When Hatib apologized by saying that he had children and relatives in Makkah, Allah made clear that family and children will not avail a person anything on the Day of Resurrection if he disobeyed Allah for them. Al-Qurtubi: 20/402.
Question: Can a Muslim be excused for spying against Muslims for fear for himself, children, or wealth?
قَدۡ كَانَتۡ لَكُمۡ أُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةٞ فِيٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِذۡ قَالُواْ لِقَوۡمِهِمۡ إِنَّا بُرَءَٰٓؤُاْ مِنكُمۡ وَمِمَّا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَفَرۡنَا بِكُمۡ وَبَدَا بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡعَدَٰوَةُ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّىٰ تُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَحۡدَهُ
Love for the sake of Allah and dislike for the sake of Allah are the strongest bonds of faith, hence, Muslims should not be heedless of them. Al-Alusi: 14/263.
Question: What are the strongest bonds of faith?
قَدۡ كَانَتۡ لَكُمۡ أُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةٞ فِيٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُ
Meaning: Muslims should follow their Messenger (ﷺ) just like those with Abraham (u) did with him. Ibn Ashur: 28/143.
Question: Allah enjoins the believers to follow the example of Abraham (u) and those with him. Why?
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجۡعَلۡنَا فِتۡنَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ
Meaning: Do not give them power over us because of our sins, so that they persecute and prevent us as much as they can from exercising our faith, which would cause them further confusion, for if they see that they have the upper hand, they would think that they are following the right path and that we are following the wrong path, and they will increase their disbelief and tyranny. Al-Saadi: 856.
Question: How does the Muslim become a trial for the disbeliever?
