Among all of Allah's holy names, these two, (the All-Mighty, the All-Wise) are singled for mention to indicate that what is revealed from (the All-Mighty) suits His Might, hence, it is a mighty Book, as Allah describes it, (and indeed, it is a mighty Book) [41:41], which means it overpowers those who oppose it because they were unable to match it. The holy name (the All-Wise) indicates that what is revealed from Him suits His wisdom. Ibn Ashur: 25/325.
Question: Among Allah's holy names, these two, (the All-Mighty, the All-Wise) are singled out for mention. Why?
Allah said first: (Signs for the believers), then, (Signs for people who are certain in faith), then, (Signs for people who reason), thus ascending from one honorable stage to what is more honorable and higher rank. Ibn Kathir: 4/150.
Question: Describing the believers in this order: Believers, certain in faith, and those who reason. Why?
Six proofs of the Oneness of Allah, which point to His Might, Sublimity, absolute Power, and the fact that He alone is worthy of worship. First: His creation of the heavens and earth. Second: His creation of mankind. Third: His creation of moving creatures. Fourth: The alternation of the night and day. Fifth: Sending the rain from the sky and reviving the earth. Sixth: Directing of the winds. Al-Shanqiti: 7/179.
Question: In these verses, Allah mentions six proofs of His Might and Sublimity. What are they?
Allah, the Almighty, sends down the rain from the clouds when it is most needed. He is calling the rain, a "provision", because it is the main resource that helps produce provisions. Ibn Kathir: 4/150.
Question: Allah calls the rain: A "provision." Why?
From these verses, it is clear that whoever turns away in arrogance from the verses of Allah, is an excessive sinner and a liar, hence he deserves a painful punishment. Al-Biqai: 7/93.
Question: What is the fate of one who does not respond to the guidance of the Quran?
(Behind them is Hell): In describing what will happen to them in the future, the word, (behind) is used to depict their turning away from the Fire as if it were behind them. Al-Shawkani: 5/5.
Question: The word, (behind) is used to denote the future. Why?
When mentioning those who are guided by the signs, those who reflect are mentioned last, because reflection is the essence of belief, certainty, and knowledge, which are mentioned in: (Signs for the believers) , (Signs for people who are certain in faith) , (Signs for people who reason). Ibn Ashur: 25/338.
Question: Show the benefit of reflection.
