This is a stern warning and dire threat, stating that He, may He be exalted, knows who denies His signs, Names and attributes, and He will punish them for that. Ibn Kathir: 4/104.
Question: Allah informs us that the deviators are not concealed from Him. Why?
Allah describes His Book as (mighty) because the truth of its meanings makes it above and beyond any calumniation; moreover, it is preserved by Allah, the Almighty. Ibn Atiyah: 5/19.
Question: Allah describes the Quran as (mighty). Why?
Describing the punishment as severe is befitting to what they had committed because they caused severe pain to the Prophet’s (ﷺ) soul by their denial and annoyance. Ibn Ashur: 24/311.
Question: The punishment is described as severe. Why?
If it was not for Allah's forgiveness, no one would be have been able to enjoy life; and if it was not for His warning and punishment, everyone would become careless. Ibn Kathir: 4/104.

Know that the Quran is a guidance and a cure from doubt and ailments for all those who believe in it. Al-Qurtubi: 18/431.
Question: Who benefits from the Quran's guidance and cure?
Meaning: They do not listen, nor understand, similar to someone who is called from a distant place where he does not hear nor understand. This is an example of their lack of benefit from admonishments, where they are called from that which they cannot hear. Al-Baghawi: 4/70.
Question: What is meant by this Quranic example, (Those are being called from a distant place)?
Allah says: The false group among them were (in doubt) of what they had said about the Quran. (Disquieting), they were disquieted by what they said because they were not convinced of their saying but only assumed. Al-Tabari: 21/487.
Question: The disbelievers were not convinced of what they said about the Quran. Why?
