Masrouq said: We visited Abdullah bin Masoud (t) and he said to us: O people, he who has knowledge of any matter may convey it to others, but he who has no knowledge, thereof, should say: "Allah knows best." It is a sign of knowledge that a man who has no knowledge of a matter says: "Allah knows best," for Allah said to His Prophet (ﷺ), (Say, I do not ask you for any reward for it, and I am not of the pretentious). Ibn Kathir: 4/45.
Question: Through reflection on this verse, Abdullah bin Masoud deduced one of the etiquettes of pursuing knowledge. What is it?

Sad Verses 0 - 86

(And I am not of the pretentious), Islamic Sharia ordinances are free of affectation and hardship, which reflects the tolerance of Islam. This easiness is based on Allah's wisdom that the spirit of Sharia is in harmony with the nature of the Messenger (ﷺ). Ibn Ashur: 23/309.
Question: Given this verse, describe the tolerance of Islam.

Sad Verses 0 - 87

This great Surah contains a wise reminder and a message of great importance. Therefore, at the beginning, it contains an oath that is full of reminders, and at the end, it describes it as a reminder to the worlds. The idea of reminding (and remembering) is mentioned frequently throughout, such as when Allah says: (Remember Our servant), (And remember Our servants), (as a mercy from Us and as a reminder) and (This is a reminder). Al-Saadi: 717.
Question: This Surah enjoins something often. What is it? List two benefits from that.

Az-Zumar Verses 0 - 1

Speech is an attribute of the speaker, and the attribute is connected to the one who possesses that attribute. Therefore, just as Allah is perfect in all aspects, and there is none like unto Him, so too His word is perfect in all aspects, and there is nothing like it. This alone is sufficient to describe the Quran and highlight its sublime nature. Al-Saadi: 718.
Question: This verse talks about the greatness of the Quran. Explain

Az-Zumar Verses 0 - 3

Ibn Al-Arabi said: This verse proves that sincerity to Allah in every deed is obligatory. Al-Qurtubi: 18/246
Question: What heart’s deed is learned from this verse? Is it obligatory?

Az-Zumar Verses 0 - 3

There is no doubt that the more a servant fabricates lies about Allah and increases in disbelief in Him, the more Allah’s wrath upon him will increase, and hence, the divine guidance will be far away from him. Allah says, (How would Allah guide a people who disbelieved after having believed and testified that the Messenger was true, and the clear signs had come to them? For Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people) [3:86]. Ibn Ashur: 23/324.
Question: Given this verse, explain the risk of fabricating lies about Allah.

Az-Zumar Verses 0 - 4

Allah exalts Himself above the need to have a son; He describes Himself as the One, since Oneness contradicts having a son. If there were a son of Allah (glory to Him), he would have to be of the same type as Allah, but Allah does not belong to a type because He is One. He describes Himself as the Subjugator, in order to nullify all rivals and partners. If everything and everyone is subjugated by Allah, then, how can any of them be His partner? Ibn Juzay: 2/263.
Question: concluding the verse with (the One, the Subjugator) has an insight into its meaning. Explain.
