Al-Ankabut Verses 0 - 41

Al-Farra said: This is an example presented by Allah for those who took for themselves gods besides Allah, which do not benefit nor harm them, just like the spider's home that does not protect it against hot or cold. It means that if the polytheists knew that worshiping idols is like taking a spider's home that does not avail them anything, and this was their example, they would have not worshiped them. Al-Qurtubi: 16/363.
Question: Explain the point of similarity between spider's home, and gravesites and shrines that are worshiped besides Allah.

Al-Ankabut Verses 0 - 41

The polytheists resemble the spider in being deluded by what they made. Their allies resemble the spider's home in its uselessness at the time of need, and its elimination by the slightest movement. Ibn Ashur: 20/252.
Question: What is the point of similarity between the polytheists and their allies, and the spider and its home?

Al-Ankabut Verses 0 - 43

These examples will be comprehended by those who have prudence, and thus become knowledgeable and wise. This alludes to the fact that those who did not benefit from them are ignorant, let alone those who mocked them instead of reflecting on their meanings. Ibn Ashur: 20/252.
Question: What is the risk of not reflecting on the examples of the Quran?

Al-Ankabut Verses 0 - 43

The reason for that is that the comparisons that Allah gives in the Quran have to do with important issues, sublime goals and noble ideas. Therefore, the people of knowledge understand that they are more important than others, because Allah mentions them and urges His slaves to reflect on them and ponder their meanings, and do their utmost to understand them. Al-Saadi: 631.
Question: Those who understand are singled out for knowing the examples. Why?

Al-Ankabut Verses 0 - 45

Reciting the Quran often increases its understanding, and reveals the wealth of its subtle knowledge. By no means the Quran will reveal its benefits, and lift the veil off its unique jewels for a first-time reader. Rather, every time a reader reflects on it, it bestows upon him a bounty of its secrets. No matter how much the reader/reflector receives from its enlightenments, he will always affirm that its wonders are countless, and its rarities are limitless. Al-Biqai: 14/447.
Question: When does the Muslim benefit from reciting the Quran?

Al-Ankabut Verses 0 - 45

It is narrated about one of the righteous predecessors; whenever he stood up for prayer, he became shivered and paled, so he was asked about that, and said: If I am standing before a king from this world, I should feel this way, let alone standing before Allah, the Almighty, the King of all kings. This is a definite prayer that restrains one from immoral acts and wickedness. When one whose prayer is based on dull movements without remembrance or humbleness, -like ours, and we wish it suffices- then it will leave him wherever he is. Al-Qurtubi: 16/367.
Question: What kind of prayer that restrains one from immoral acts and wickedness?

Al-Ankabut Verses 0 - 45

When one humbly performs his prayer, remembering Allah's greatness, this will lead him to repent from immoral acts and wickedness, thus, his prayer restrained him from that. Ibn Juzay: 2/160.
Question: How does the prayer restrain one from immoral acts and wickedness?
