Al-Furqan Verses 0 - 57

قُلۡ مَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلٗا ٥٧

(I do not ask you), for conveying glad tidings and warning (for any reward for it), lest you accuse me of calling you for it, or you say: "Why is not a treasure presented to him from heaven, so he becomes rich?" It is like he is saying: Abstaining from pursuing great wealth is disliked for one who is asking others, and since that was not my way before Prophethood, how about after I became a Prophet? My only aim is to benefit you. Al-Biqai: 13/412.
Question: What is the sign of truthful preachers who follow the example of Prophets?

Al-Furqan Verses 0 - 58

وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِهِۦۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا ٥٨

This verse indicates that a person with perfect faith does not rely upon anyone but Allah, since relying upon other living beings, who are subject to death, despite its temporary benefit, does not last. Ibn Ashur: 19/59.
Question: Reliance upon anyone other than Allah is of no benefit. Explain.

Al-Furqan Verses 0 - 60

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسۡجُدُواْۤ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ قَالُواْ وَمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ أَنَسۡجُدُ لِمَا تَأۡمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمۡ نُفُورٗا۩ ٦٠

When mentioning their refusal to prostrate to the Most Merciful, it is recommended to do the opposite, so, after reciting this verse, the Prophet (ﷺ) prostrated in order to show by action his disparity with what they said. Ibn Ashur: 19/63.
Question: After reciting this verse, it is recommended to prostrate. Why?

Al-Furqan Verses 0 - 62

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلۡفَةٗ لِّمَنۡ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوۡ أَرَادَ شُكُورٗا ٦٢

Moreover, people's moods alter and change throughout the hours of the night and day. So, they may feel energetic or feel tired, be mindful or be heedless, sometimes under stress and sometimes at ease, sometimes focusing in worship and sometimes distracted. So, Allah has caused night and day to come consecutively to people, over and over again, so as to create in them mindfulness, energy, and gratitude toward Him at other times. Al-Saadi: 586.
Question: The alternation of the night and the day is a reason for giving thanks to Allah. How?

Al-Furqan Verses 0 - 62

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلۡفَةٗ لِّمَنۡ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوۡ أَرَادَ شُكُورٗا ٦٢

Omar bin Al-Khattab, Alhasan, and Ibn Abbas said: "Whoever desires to remember what he missed of doing good, praying, etc. in one of them so that he makes it up in the other." Ibn Atiyah: 4/218.
Question: In light of this verse, explain the effect of the succession of night and day on the servant's worship.

Al-Furqan Verses 0 - 63

وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمۡشُونَ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ هَوۡنٗا

Humbleness comes from their tranquility and dignity. In the interpretation of this verse: They walk on earth with modesty and forbearance; their dignified style and easiness are Prophetic traits. Al-Qurtubi: 15/466.
Question: Describe how the believer walks on earth.

Al-Furqan Verses 0 - 63

وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلۡجَٰهِلُونَ قَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗا ٦٣

Meaning: When those who are ignorant about Allah address them by what they dislike, they answer them with good words and sound speech. Al-Tabari: 19/295.
Question: What is the wise response to ignorant people?
