Sharia laws do not hold one accountable except for what the heart earns of outward words and actions, as Allah says, (but He holds you accountable for what your hearts have intended). A person is not held responsible for words or deeds of which the heart is not aware, nor intends. Likewise, what a person tells himself, he will not be held accountable for except for what he said or did. Ibn Taimyah: 1/517.
Question: When is a person held accountable for his actions? Explain in light of the verse.

Allah does not hasten to punish His servants. Forbearing means the tolerance of the higher toward annoyance of the lower. Al-Biqai: 1/426.
Question: This verse concludes with the attribute of Allah: The Most Forbearing. Why?

Marital rights between spouses are not determined by the marriage contract, but by common tradition, as evidenced by the Holy Quran (Women have rights similar to the rights over them in a reasonable manner). Ibn Taimyah: 1/523.

The advantage of men over women is not oblivious to any rational individual, as women were created from men and that make them their origin. A wife needs her husband's consent before fasting or performing Hajj. Al-Qurtubi: 4/53.

Since any one who does it more than twice is either daring to do something forbidden, or has no desire to keep her, but rather his intention is to cause harm. Al-Saadi: 102.
Question: Why is the revocable divorce limited to two only?

This indicates that if a person wants to do something, especially holding a public position of major or minor responsibility, he should first assess himself; If he is confident that he has the ability to carry out the responsibility, then, he should go ahead, otherwise he should refrain.
