Al-Isra Verses 0 - 106

(Revealed over stages), so that they may ponder and reflect upon its meanings, and derive knowledge from it. Al-Saadi: 468.
Question: What is the ideal way to recite the Quran for one who wants to reflect on it?

Al-Isra Verses 0 - 107

(Say, "Believe in it or do not believe"): This is an order to disregard them as if saying: whether you believe in it or not, for your action is not a proof; the proof lies with those who were given knowledge before it, specifically the believers among the people of the Book. (Indeed, those who were given knowledge before it), the believers from among Jews and Christians; it is also said that they were those who followed Abraham (u) before the coming of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Ibn Juzay: 1/499.
Question: This verse indicates the high status of scholars, Explain.

Al-Isra Verses 107 - 109

(And they fall upon their faces weeping), this is praise for the scholars, and whoever is given knowledge should strive to attain this status by feeling humility when listening to the Quran and humbling himself. In Sunan ad-Darimi, Al-Taimi said: "Whoever is given knowledge that does not cause him to weep, should not have been given that knowledge because Allah describes the scholars like this," then he recited this verse. Al-Qurtubi: 13/189.
Question: Explain how scholars should feel when listening to the Quran.

Al-Isra Verses 0 - 109

Falling upon their faces is an act of worship that is loved by Allah. It does not mean touching the ground with their chins like they do with their foreheads; falling upon the face begins with bowing and ends with prostration. Ibn Taimyah: 4/249.
Question: What is the form of falling upon the face that is loved by Allah?

Al-Kahf Verses 0 - 1

Allah praises Himself, which is an implicit instruction to people to praise Him for sending the Messenger (ﷺ) to them and sending down the Book to them. Al-Saadi: 469.
Question: What is the practical benefit for a Muslim to know that Allah praises Himself?

Al-Kahf Verses 0 - 1

Allah singles out His Messenger (ﷺ) for mention because sending down the Quran upon him was a special favor upon him and a general one upon all people. Al-Baghawi: 3/5.
Question: The Prophet (ﷺ) is singled out for mention. Why?

Al-Kahf Verses 2 - 3

This Quran refers to every good deed that leads to what brings joy to the heart. Al-Saadi: 470.
