Al-Isra Verses 0 - 97

Meaning: If Allah guides them, they will be guided. (And whoever He causes to stray, you will find none to protect them besides Him), no one else will guide them. Al-Qurtubi: 13/178.
Question: Can anyone attain true guidance without the will of Allah?

Al-Isra Verses 0 - 97

On the Day of Resurrection, they will be dragged on their faces to Hellfire, similar to what is done in this life to someone who is put through extreme humiliation and torment. Anas bin Malik narrated: A man said: "O Allah's Messenger! Those disbelievers who will be gathered on their faces on the Day of Resurrection; how will Allah gather a disbeliever on his face?" He said, "Will not the One Who made him walk on his feet in this world be able to make him walk on his face on the Day of Resurrection?" When Qatadah heard that, he said: "Yes, by the Power of Our Lord!" [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. Al-Qurtubi: 13/178.
Question: How will the disbelievers be gathered on their faces on the Day of Resurrection? What is the indication of that?

Al-Isra Verses 0 - 97

This is a befitting recompense for their sins because they promoted falsehood as the truth, and distorted the truth with the markings of falsehood. Thus, they will be punished by having their faces transformed into limbs for walking instead of their feet. Then, they will be (blind and dumb) as a requital for their false claims about the Messenger (ﷺ) and the Quran. They will be (deaf) because turned away from listening to the truth. Ibn Ashur: 15/217.
Question: On the Day of Resurrection, the disbelievers will be recompensed in accordance to their sins. Explain.

Al-Isra Verses 0 - 97

If it is said: "How are they described here as blind, dumb and deaf while in another verse Allah says, (The wicked will see the Fire) [18:53], where they can see, speak and hear?" It is said that they will be gathered as described by Allah, then their senses will be returned to them. In another explanation, (blind and dumb), Ibn Abbas (t) said: "They will not see what pleases them nor will they be able to present an argument; and (deaf), they will not hear what pleases them." Alhasan said: They will be in this situation when they are gathered until they enter Hellfire. Al-Baghawi: 2/718.
Question: How will the dwellers of Hellfire be gathered (blind, dumb and deaf)?

Al-Isra Verses 0 - 100

Meaning: Man is stingy and unwilling to spend. Al-Baghawi: 2/719.
Question: What is the inherent characteristic of humans when it comes to dealing with wealth? How can the servant overcome that?

Al-Isra Verses 0 - 102

Moses (u), the truthful, said: (you already know that none sent down these [signs] except the Lord of the heavens and earth as clear proofs), which indicated that Pharaoh was aware that Allah revealed these signs, hence, he was shown to be most stubborn and tyrannical due to his corrupted intentions and purpose, not due to his lack of knowledge. Ibn Taimyah: 4/248.
Question: A knowledgeable person may go astray. Explain in light of this verse.

Al-Isra Verses 0 - 103

The Polytheists intended to drive the Prophet (ﷺ) and Muslims from Makkah, which was similar to what Pharaoh intended of exiling Moses (u) and the Children of Israel from Egypt. Ibn Ashur: 15/228.
Question: There is a resemblance between the Polytheists of Quraish and Pharaoh's people. Explain.
