Ar-Ra'd Verses 0 - 43

The only reason why Allah said that the testimony of the People of the Scripture should be sought is because they are people who have knowledge of this matter, and testimony is only to be sought from people who have more knowledge of the matter than others. This is in contrast to those who have nothing to do with it, such as the illiterate polytheist Arabs and others; there was no benefit in seeking their testimony since they had no experience or knowledge of the matter. Al-Saadi: 420-421.
Question: Allah said that the testimony of the People of the Scripture should be sought. Why?

Ibrahim Verses 0 - 1

(So that you may bring people) by the book, which is the Quran. (Out of darkness into the light) from the darkness of disbelief, misguidance and ignorance into the light of faith and knowledge. That is likening disbelief to darkness and Islam to the light. Al-Qurtubi: 12/102.
Question: For one who wants to rid of darkness in his heart and receive the light, what should he do?

Ibrahim Verses 0 - 1

Mentioning (the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy) after mentioning the path that leads to Him indicates that the one who follows this path will be honored and protected by the might of Allah, even if he has no supporters except Him, and he will have a good outcome in all of his affairs. Al-Saadi: 421.
Question: What is the benefit of associating the path to Allah's Holy Names: (the All-Mighty) , (the Praiseworthy)?

Ibrahim Verses 0 - 3

This meaning of this verse applies to whoever prefers the life of this world and its adornments, chooses its enjoyments over the bliss of the Hereafter, and averts people from the way of Allah. In an authentic Hadith, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "I only fear for my Ummah from the misguiding leaders." They are in abundance these days, and we seek Allah's help. Moreover, it is said that (those who prefer) means those who pursue unlawful gains of this life. Al-Qurtubi: 12/104.
Question: What are the traits of those rebuked by Allah in this verse so that we may avoid them?

Ibrahim Verses 0 - 4

This verse is quoted as evidence that acquiring knowledge of the Arabic language which leads to understanding the words of Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ) is required and is dear to Allah because knowledge of what He revealed to His Messenger (ﷺ) cannot be attained otherwise. Al-Saadi: 421.
Question: Acquiring knowledge of the Arabic language is important. How do we infer that from this verse?

Ibrahim Verses 0 - 5

(And remind them of the days of Allah) means: His punishment of previous generations. Also, it is said His favors upon the Children of Israel. The term, (Days of Allah) includes both His favors and punishments. The word (days) is used to indicate its occurrence over days, which is also a way of honoring these days, as one would say: The day of such and such. Ibn Juzay: 1/441.
Question: Reading the history of passed generations can strengthen the faith. Explain.

Ibrahim Verses 0 - 5

In different verses of the Quran, Allah says, (Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful), patience and gratitude in response to what Allah decrees upon His servant of ease and hardship, prosperity and adversity, and the good deeds and misdeeds. The servant should receive adversities with patience, and be grateful for prosperities. Doing good deeds is part of Allah's favors upon His servants while other favors are the consequences of his deeds. Ibn Taimyah: 4/107.
Question: The believer should deal with Allah's decree by patience and gratitude. Explain.
