Ar-Ra'd Verses 0 - 1

The aim of this Surah is stated in this verse, which is asserting that this revelation is the truth and establishing the proof thereupon. Al-Biqai: 4/118.
Question: What is the aim of Surah Ar-Ra'd? What is its topic?

Ar-Ra'd Verses 0 - 2

Allah mentions the Sun and the Moon here because they are the most visible and moving among all other apparently fixed heavenly objects . Therefore, if Allah subjected these to His power, then it is clear that He has also subjected all other heavenly objects. Ibn Kathir: 3/481.
Question: The Sun and the Moon are singled out for mention among all other heavenly objects. Why?

Ar-Ra'd Verses 0 - 2

The abundance and clarity of the evidence are among the means of attaining certainty in all that is revealed, especially the fundamental beliefs such as the resurrection and the bringing forth of the dead from their graves. Al-Saadi: 412.
Question: How can one attain certainty in fundamental beliefs?

Ar-Ra'd Verses 0 - 3

Reflecting on these signs leads to the conclusion that since all of them follow this impeccable pattern and consistent course, then there must exist a Capable and Wise Creator Who does what He wills and ordains what He wants. Al-Alusi: 13/127.
Question: What is the benefit of reflecting on the creation of earth, mountains, fruits, night and day?

Ar-Ra'd Verses 0 - 4

(There are signs), clear evidence that all of these are created by One Who is All-Knowing, All-Capable of doing what He wills from originating, diversifying and innovating the creation. Then, surely He is capable of bringing it all back. Al-Biqai: 4/125.
Question: How does growing different plants proves resurrection after death for reckoning?

Ar-Ra'd Verses 0 - 4

Neighboring plots of land means close towns sharing the same soil and water, containing plants and gardens yet they differ from each other in fruits and dates. Some are sweet while others are sour. A single branch in a tree may have its fruits differing from one another in size, color and taste, even though the Sun and the Moon are shining on all at the same recurrence. This is a profound evidence of the Oneness of Allah. Al-Qurtubi: 12/10.
Question: On the earth there are neighboring plots of land, what is the lesson in that?

Ar-Ra'd Verses 0 - 5

Meaning: This is very unlikely and it is not possible, according to their claim, that after they have become dust, Allah will bring them back to life. In their ignorance, they compared the power of the Creator to the power of created beings. Because they saw that it is not possible for created beings to do such a thing, they thought that it was also impossible for the Creator to do it, but they forgot that Allah created them the first time, when they were nothing. Al-Saadi: 413.
Question: Comparing the Creator to a created being is the reason for the polytheists misguidance. Explain in light of this verse.
