ﭣ ﭤ ﭥ ﭦ ﭧ ﭨ ﭩ ﭪ
ﭫ ﭬ ﭭ ﭮ ﭯ ﭰ ﭱ ﭲ ﭳ ﭴ ﭵ
ﭶ ﭷ ﭸ ﭹ ﭺ ﭻ ﭼ ﭽ ﭾ ﭿ ﮀ ﮁ
ﮂ ﮃ ﮄ ﮅ ﮆ ﮇ ﮈ ﮉ ﮊ ﮋ ﮌ
ﮍ ﮎ ﮏ ﮐ ٧٤ ٧٤ ﮒ ﮓ ﮔ ﮕ ﮖ ﮗ ﮘ
ﮙ ﮚ ﮛ ﮜ ﮝ ﮞ
٧٥ ٧٥ ﮠ ﮡ ﮢ ﮣ ﮤ ﮥ ﮦ ﮧ
ﮨ ٧٦ ٧٦ ﮪ ﮫ ﮬ ﮭ ﮮ ﮯ ﮰ
ﮱ ﯓ ﯔ ﯕ ﯖ ﯗ ﯘ ﯙ ٧٧ ٧٧
ﯛ ﯜ ﯝ ﯞ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ ﯢ ﯣ
ﯤ ﯥ ٧٨ ٧٨ ﯧ ﯨ ﯩ ﯪ
ﯫ ﯬ ﯭ ﯮ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﯲ
ﯳ ﯴ ﯵ ﯶ ﯷ ﯸ ﯹ ﯺ ٧٩ ٧٩
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ جَٰهِدِ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱغۡلُظۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ ٧٣
Jihad against the disbelievers is by sword, and Jihad against the hypocrites is by speech unless they show what constitutes disbelief. Ibn Juzay: 1/364.
Question: How should Jihad against the disbelievers and hypocrites be with?
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ جَٰهِدِ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱغۡلُظۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ
Allah commanded His Messenger (ﷺ) to strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and to be harsh against them. Allah also commanded him to be merciful with the believers who followed him. Ibn Kathir: 2/355.
Question: Dealing of a Muslim with another is different from his dealing with a disbeliever and a hypocrite. How?
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ جَٰهِدِ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱغۡلُظۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ
This Jihad includes physical Jihad and verbal one through debating. Whoever among them decides to take the Muslims on, may be fought physically and verbally, by the sword and by debate. Whoever chooses to yield to Islam, such as living under Muslim rule or by means of a covenant, may be striven against by means of debate and proof, explaining to him the beauty of Islam and the evil of ascribing partners to Allah and that of disbelief. Al-Saadi: 344.
Question: What are the stages of striving against disbelievers and hypocrites?
يَحۡلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ مَا قَالُواْ وَلَقَدۡ قَالُواْ كَلِمَةَ ٱلۡكُفۡرِ وَكَفَرُواْ بَعۡدَ إِسۡلَٰمِهِمۡ
Allah does not say "after their belief" because they used to say "we believe", but faith did not enter their hearts. Ibn Juzay: 1/364.
Question: Allah says, (after accepting Islam), and does not say, "after their belief." Why?
وَمِنۡهُم مَّنۡ عَٰهَدَ ٱللَّهَ لَئِنۡ ءَاتَىٰنَا مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ٧٥ فَلَمَّآ ءَاتَىٰهُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦ بَخِلُواْ بِهِۦ وَتَوَلَّواْ وَّهُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ٧٦ فَأَعۡقَبَهُمۡ نِفَاقٗا فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يَلۡقَوۡنَهُۥ بِمَآ أَخۡلَفُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡذِبُونَ ٧٧
Therefore, the believer should beware of this abhorrent attitude, whereby a person gives a promise to his Lord that if he gets some of what he wants, he will do such and such, but then he does not fulfill his promise, for perhaps Allah will punish him with hypocrisy as He punished these people. Al-Saadi: 345.
Question: Describe the risk of breaking a promise with Allah and its punishment.
فَأَعۡقَبَهُمۡ نِفَاقٗا فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يَلۡقَوۡنَهُۥ بِمَآ أَخۡلَفُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡذِبُونَ ٧٧
The verse expresses their lying as (their persistent lying) to indicate that lying exists solidly in them. The present tense form of the verb (lying) indicates repetition and recurrence. Ibn Ashur: 10/273.
Question: The verse expresses their lying as (their persistent lying); why?
ٱلَّذِينَ يَلۡمِزُونَ ٱلۡمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ فِي ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ إِلَّا جُهۡدَهُمۡ فَيَسۡخَرُونَ مِنۡهُمۡ سَخِرَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۡهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ٧٩
If a person obeys Allah and does voluntary good deeds, then what we should do is to help and support him in his action, but these hypocrites intended to discourage them by criticizing and speaking negatively of them. Al-Saadi: 346.
Question: What is required of the believers when they see one who does a good deed? What is the lesson learned from this verse?
