When the Jews and Christians asked for signs, it is not their aim, O Muhammad, to accept Islam even if you were to bring them everything they asked for, they would still not be pleased with you. They will only be pleased when you abandon Islam and follow them. Al-Qurtubi: 2/345.

Reciting the Book (Holy Quran) means following its teachings, as Ibn Masoud said about this verse, (Those to whom We have given the Book recite it as it should be recited); he said: "They enjoin what is lawful, forbid what is unlawful, believe in its unspecific verses and act upon its definite verses." Ibn Taimyah: 1/339.
Question: How does one recite the Quran as it should be?

A group of scholars inferred from this verse that the Imam (a Muslim Ruler) must be one of those who are known for justice, good conduct, virtue and has the ability to fulfill the task of leadership. Therefore, those who are known for iniquity, injustice and wrongdoing are not qualified because of this verse (My covenant does not include the wrongdoers). Al-Qurtubi: 2/370.

(Mathabat'n): A place of return for the people. Whenever they are far away, they long to visit the Ka'bah again, which is a sign indicating that eventually they will all be leaving this life and return back to Allah. Al-Biqai: 1/239.
Question: What is meant by (A place of return for the people)?

(Those who bow and prostrate): These are when the servant is closest to Allah. Bowing and prostrating are the two greatest pillars of the prayer, and that is why when they are mentioned, they refer to the prayer as a whole. Al-Alusi: 1/381.
Question: Bowing and prostrating are the two greatest pillars of the prayer. How do you know that?

Al-Baqarah Verses 0 - 126

Allah is teaching His Prophet Abraham (u) that provision is not provided exclusively to the believers, but rather, it is a general mercy from Allah to all who live in this world, unlike religious leadership (Imamah) which is exclusive to the sincerest believers. Al-Alusi: 1/382.
Question: Is the provision of Allah in this world provided exclusively to the believers?
