Al-Imran Verses 0 - 187

Alhasan and Qatada said: "This is about everyone who is given knowledge of any part of the Book. Whoever knows something should teach it, and beware of concealing knowledge, for it is an absolute loss." Muhammad ibn Ka'b said: "It is unlawful for a scholar to remain silent about his knowledge or for an ignorant person to remain silent about his ignorance. Allah says, (Allah took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture), and (Ask the people of knowledge, if you do not know)" [16:43]. Abu Hurairah said: "If Allah had not taken a covenant from the People of the Scripture, I would not have narrated anything to you." Then, he recited this verse: (And when Allah took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture). Al-Qurtubi: 5/458.

Question: What is the aim for describing those who remember Allah in these three situations?

Al-Imran Verses 0 - 191

Umm Ad-Darda' (i) was asked: "What was Abu Ad-Darda' (t) occupied with?” She replied: "He was mostly engaged in reflection." Someone said to him: "Do you consider reflection as a good deed?" He replied, "Yes, it is certain faith." Ibn Ashur: 4/196.

Question: What is the importance and benefit of reflection?

Al-Imran Verses 0 - 192

Abu Ad-Darda' (t) said: "May Allah have mercy upon the believers who keep saying: Our Lord, Our Lord, until their prayers are answered." Ibn Atiyah: 1/556.
