A warning to the believers against following the disbelievers by explaining its harms, calling out to them by describing them as believers, to remind them of a condition that negates that obedience, so that the warning is at its most perfect. Al-Alusi: 4/87.

(And disputed over the command), in the battle of Uhud, a dispute arose between the archers, so some of them stood firm as they were commanded while others left their positions. (And disobeyed) you disobeyed the command of the Prophet (r). The address here was directed to all the believers, even though only a small group disobeyed the order, as lesson to all of them, and to hide the identity of those who disobeyed. Ibn Juzay: 1/161.
Question: Why was the address directed to all of them, even though only some disobeyed the command?

Al-Imran Verses 0 - 152

(You lost courage), meaning: You became lost and weak by inclining toward the spoils of war, contrary to what high aspirations call for. The Arabs, in their pre-Islamic state, used to boast about their eagerness to stab and strike in battlefields, and their disregard for spoils. Al-Biqai: 2/166.
Question: From the verse, explain what changed the course of the Battle of Uhud from victory for the Muslims to defeat?

Al-Imran Verses 0 - 152

By His grace toward the believers, Allah does not decree for them any blessing or any calamity unless it is ultimately good for them. If something good happens to them, they give thanks, and He grants them the reward of those who are grateful; if something bad happens to them, they endure it with patience and He grants them the reward of those who are patient. Al-Saadi: 152.
Question: The verses that mentioned the calamity of the believers conclude with the grace of Allah, the Almighty. Why?
