Al-Jinn Verses 0 - 2

This is a rebuke to the disbelievers among mankind for not benefiting from the Quran while the jinn believed in it once they heard it for the first time, benefited from listening to a few verses, realized that this is the word of Allah, and believed in it. Al-Shawkani: 5/303-304.
Question: The jinn believed when they heard the Quran for the first time. What lesson is drawn from that?

Al-Jinn Verses 0 - 5

This shows that one should not emulate others, as trusting everyone is naïve, and that is learned through experience. Emulation may lead to disbelief and eternal doom. An-Nu'man bin Bashir (t) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "So he who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and his honor blameless." This proves that one must not take up any religious fundamentals without a clear proof. Al-Biqai: 20/471.
Question: Emulation can be good and can be bad. Explain.

Al-Jinn Verses 0 - 6

Meaning: When men sought refuge with the jinn, the jinn increased them in misguidance and sins, or increased their fear when they realized their ignorance. Moreover, it is said that when men sought refuge with the jinn, the jinn's arrogance and tyranny had increased until one among them said: I am the master of jinn and mankind. Ibn Juzay: 2/495.
Question: Explain the harm caused by some people who seek help from magicians and soothsayers.

Al-Jinn Verses 0 - 10

The intent of evil is not attributed to Allah, rather, a passive voice is used to describe it. Unlike the intent of good, which is attributed to Him, as saying: (or their Lord intends good for them). This conforms to the etiquette of not attributing the intent of evil to Allah. Ibn Ashur: 29/231.
Question: Even though Allah decrees all things, the jinn did not attribute the evil intent to Him. Why?

Al-Jinn Verses 0 - 11

When the jinn began inviting their brethren to follow the path of good, they did not directly accuse them of corruption, rather, they said: (And among us are some who are righteous) then, gently, they said: (And some who are otherwise). Ibn Ashur: 29/232.
Question: What etiquette is learned by a preacher from this verse?

Al-Jinn Verses 0 - 13

He will not fear deprivation or burden because he did not deprive anyone of his right, nor did he wrong anyone, hence, he should not fear their requitals. Al-Alusi: 15/100.
Question: The requital befits the action. Explain in light of this verse.

Al-Jinn Verses 0 - 13

Ibn Abbas (k) said: He will not fear reduction of his good deeds, nor will the evil of another be placed upon him, as deprivation is reduction, and burden is oppression. Al-Qurtubi: 21/292.
Question: Is it conceivable that the servant's good deeds will be reduced, and his evil deeds will increase?
