Qaf Verses 0 - 37

The one who listens attentively to the revelations of Allah, and listens to them by way of seeking guidance from them, with presence of mind. For such a person there is also a reminder, exhortation, healing and guidance. But as for the one who turns away and does not lend an ear to the revelations, they will not benefit him at all, because he is not receptive and the wisdom of Allah does not dictate that such a person should be guided. Al-Saadi: 807. Question: What benefit can be gained from the Quran for one who does not listen to it with mindful heart and attentive ear?

Qaf Verses 0 - 37

Here, (or) is used instead of "and" because those who benefit from the verses are two types: First: One who has a mindful heart, which is sufficed by the least hint. He does not need to work hard to make his heart attentive, rather, his heart is alert, pure, and ready for guidance, not turning away from it, and therefore, his heart needs only to receive the guidance. Second: A person who lacks readiness and willingness, but, when guidance comes to him, he listens attentively, brings his heart into mindfulness, and gathers his thoughts, and so, he realizes its goodness and truth by his contemplation and inference. Ibn Al-Qayim: 3/16.
Question: In this verse, (or) is used instead of "and". Why?

Qaf Verses 0 - 39

To help His Messenger (ﷺ) to bear patiently what they say, Allah directed him to glorify His praise before sunrise and before sunset, during the night and after the prayers. Ibn Al-Qayim: 3/26.
Question: What are the things that help one become patient?

Qaf Verses 39 - 40

(So bear patiently what they say) of criticism and rejection of the message you have brought. Distract yourself from them by focusing on your Lord and glorifying Him, at the beginning and end of the day, and during the night and after the prayers, for remembering Allah consoles and brings comfort to the heart, and helps one to be patient. Al-Saadi: 807.
Question: What is the wisdom behind enjoining the glorification of Allah after enjoining patience?

Qaf Verses 0 - 39

Al-Razi said: "Know that the reward for the one’s words commensurate with the extent of their emanation from his knowledge and wisdom, the eye of his heart turns as his tongue does [with his words], and he perceives their facts and meanings. Glorifying Allah is exalting Him above everything that may be conceited by illusion, pictured in the imagination, plotted by the senses, or conjured up by the premonitions. Praising Allah reveals His great favors [upon His servants], and Him being the exclusive source of all the blessings." Al-Biqai: 18/439.
Question: What is meant by the glorification of Allah?

Qaf Verses 0 - 45

(And you are not there to compel them), it is not you who forces them to accept guidance; this is not part of your mission, so you cannot make them believe it, for you are only conveying the Message. Ibn Kathir: 7/412.
Question: What is precisely the duty of the preacher to Allah?

Adh-Dhariyat Verses 1 - 6

Allah swore by these things because of their unique abilities and functions that are extraordinary, hence, whoever is capable of creating them, is indeed capable of the promised resurrection. Al-Shawkani: 5/83.
Question: Allah swore by these creations. Why?
