Qaf Verses 0 - 16

Allah states that He is closer to him than his jugular vein, which is the closest thing to a person; the jugular veins are the veins on both sides of the neck. This is a reminder to man to remember that his Creator is watching him; He sees what is in his heart and mind and is close to him in all situations. So, he should feel shy, lest Allah see him where He forbade him to be, or He not see him where He commanded him to be. Al-Saadi: 805.
Question: What is the wisdom behind mentioning the jugular vein? What do we learn from that?

Meaning: The One Who created man and knows what his soul whispers within him, and He is closer to him than his jugular vein at the same time when the angel-keepers record his deeds, does not need these records because He is well aware of them and nothing is hidden from Him. However, He commanded the angel-keepers to record the deeds to establish proof against the servant on the Day of Resurrection. Al-Shanqiti: 7/426.
Question: What is the use of recording the servant's deeds while Allah is well aware of them?

Qaf Verses 0 - 30

Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Paradise and the Fire argued, and the Fire said, "I have been given the privilege of receiving the arrogant and the tyrants.' Paradise said, 'What is the matter with me? Why do only the weak and the humble among the people enter me?' On that, Allah said to Paradise. 'You are My Mercy which I bestow on whoever I wish of my servants.' Then Allah said to the Fire, 'You are My (means of) punishment by which I punish whoever I wish of my servants; and each of you will have its fill.' As for the Fire, it will not be filled till Allah puts His Foot over it whereupon it will say, 'Enough! Enough!' At that time, it will be filled, its different parts will come closer to each other; and Allah will not wrong any of His created beings. As regards Paradise, Allah will create a new creation to fill it with." Al-Alusi: 26/471.
Question: Describe the most prominent traits of people of Paradise and those of the Fire.

Returner), Ad-Dhahhak and others said: It means that he often returns to Allah from his sins, where he sins and repents. Ibn Abbas and Ata' said: He is the one who glorifies Allah, in reference to this verse, (O mountains. Glorify (Allah) with him! And the birds too)[34:10]. Al-Hakam bin Utaibah said: He is the one who remembers Allah in seclusion. Al-Shaabi and Mujahid said: He is the one who recalls his sins in seclusion and asks Allah for forgiveness; this is also said by Ibn Masoud. Obaid bin Omair said: It is he who, whenever sits in a place, asks for Allah's forgiveness. Moreover, he said: The returner and keeper is he who whenever leaves a place, he says, "Glorified is Allah and praised is He, O Allah, I ask Your forgiveness from my sins in this sitting." Al-Baghawi: 19/454.

(Who feared the Most Merciful in the unseen), using the Holy Name, (the Most Merciful) to indicate that this person fears Allah while knowing He is the Most Merciful. Moreover, this alludes to the polytheists who deny His Holy Name, the Most Merciful, as related in this verse, (And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful?)[25:60]. Qaf Verses 0 - 33

Meaning: Even when people cannot see Him. This is the true fear of Allah. As for fearing Him in the presence of others, when they are looking at him, it may be pretentious and a show off, which does not indicate his true fear of Allah. Rather, the beneficial fear of Allah is the fear of Him when one is alone and when others are present. Al-Saadi: 807.
Question: Fearing in the unseen is singled out for mention. Why?
