Al-Hujurat Verses 0 - 6

A piece of information, provided by a defiantly disobedient person, is subject to suspicion and fabrication due to his weak adherence to the religion. This weakness induces him to disparage the forbidden and belittle whatever information he passes around or a testimony that may harm others or the general public. His audacity to do such things will continue to increase unless he repents, shows regrets, and desist from that. Ibn Ashur: 26/231.
Question: Why are enjoined to verify the information provided by a defiantly disobedient person?

Al-Hujurat Verses 0 - 7

(If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty), you would have suffered. If the word "obeyed you" were used instead of (were to obey you), it would indicate they wanted him always to obey them, which is not true. It is their duty to obey him, and not the opposite, because his views are better and truer than that of others. If he would follow people's views, they would perish. It is their duty follow and obey him, as indicated by this verse: (But Allah has endeared to you the faith). Ibn Juzay: 2/375.
Question: It is inferred by this verse that making laws that are contrary to that of Islamic Sharia leads to difficulty and destruction. Explain.

Al-Hujurat Verses 0 - 7

A rightly guided is being steadfast in truth. Attaining the right guidance is by pursuing the truth, as Allah takes upon Himself to guide and make successful those who strive against their own whims; He says, (And those who strive in Our cause, We will surely guide them to Our ways, for Allah is certainly with those who do good)[29:69]. Al-Biqai: 7/229.
Question: The right guidance is a high stage of faith. How can the servant attain it?

Al-Hujurat Verses 0 - 10

Meaning: They are brothers in religion, not in kinship. That is why it is said that brotherhood of religion is stronger than that of kinship, for the brotherhood of kinship can be severed between individuals of different religions while the brotherhood of religion cannot be severed between individuals with no kinship ties. Al-Qurtubi: 19/383.
Question: Which is stronger: Brotherhood of religion or that of kinship? Why?

Al-Hujurat Verses 0 - 10

The word (mercy) is chosen because the dealing among brothers is based on mercy, hence, its recompense is receiving mercy from Allah. Ibn Ashur: 26/245.
Question: Why is the word (mercy) chosen in this verse?

Al-Hujurat Verses 0 - 11

The righteous predecessors avoided ridicule by all means. Amr bin Shurahbil said: If I saw a man suckling a goat and I laughed at him, I would fear doing what he did. Abdullah bin Masoud said: Affliction comes from loose talk; if I ridicule a dog, I would fear being turned into one. Al-Qurtubi: 19/383.
Question: How did the righteous predecessors practice the Quran? Explain in light of the meaning of this verse.

Al-Hujurat Verses 0 - 11

Meaning: Do not backbite one another and do not slander one another, but here Allah says (And do not insult yourselves), so He makes the insult to a brother like an insult to oneself because the believers are like one person in regard to their duties toward each other such as self-reforming and wishing the best for each other. This meaning is clarified in the words of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), "The believers are like one body; when one of the limbs aches, the whole body aches with fever and sleeplessness." Al-Tabari: 22/298.
Question: The verse uses the term, (yourselves). Why? Does man insult himself?!
