Fatir Verses 0 - 5

As His promise is true, you should prepare for it and hasten to fill your precious time with righteous deeds, and do not let anything prevent you from doing so. Al-Saadi: 685.
Question: What should you do when you know that Allah’s promise is true?

Fatir Verses 0 - 5

Saeed bin Jubair said: The delusion of the worldly life is when someone becomes distracted by its enjoyments and pleasures from working for the Hereafter until the time comes when he says, (Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life) [89:24]. Al-Qurtubi: 17/346.
Question: How can someone become deluded by the worldly life?

Fatir Verses 0 - 5

This verse mentions two delusions, first: A delusion from within one’s self, where he makes appealing the charming appearances in this worldly life, and assumes that they are good for him at first, without thinking about their harmful consequences, or that they are from satan. Second: A delusion that he receives from satan, and likewise, the delusion in this world is dictated by a person's own self or received from devils among mankind and jinn. Ibn Ashur: 22/259.
Question: This verse warns against two delusions. What are they?

Fatir Verses 0 - 6

Since the enmity of satan is inherent, therefore, it is an eternal one even if he were to be forgiven. Allah commanded that satan must be taken as an enemy, for if he is not, then the Muslim will be heedless of his schemes and deception. Take satan as an enemy necessitates disobeying him to avoid his schemes, and for his hatred of righteous deeds. Ibn Ashur: 22/261.
Question: Allah commands that satan must be taken as an enemy, and not to be forgiven. Why?

Fatir Verses 0 - 6

Meaning: Take him as an enemy by not following him, and by being obedient to Allah. Al-Fudhail bin Iyadh said: "O liar, slanderer, fear Allah; do not revile satan publicly and befriend him privately." Ibn Al-Sammak said: How strange for one who disobeyed the benevolent [Allah] after receiving His benevolence, and obeyed the accursed after knowing his enmity. Al-Qurtubi: 17/347.
Question: How do you take Iblees as your enemy, as you are commanded by Allah?

Fatir Verses 0 - 10

Meaning: O you who seek honor, seek it from the One in Whose Hand it is, for honor is in the Hand of Allah and can only be attained by obeying Him. Al-Saadi: 685.
Question: How does the Muslim benefit by knowing that all honor belongs to Allah?

Fatir Verses 0 - 10

This verse has three possible interpretations, first -which is the most probable-: Whoever wants honor, let him ask Allah for it, as all honor belongs to Allah. Second: Whoever wants honor by defeating Islam, all honor belongs to Allah, and therefore, he will be defeated. Third: Whoever wants to know to whom honor belongs, let him know that all honor belongs to Allah. Ibn Juzay: 2/212.
Question: Allah explains the way for one who seeks honor. Explain.
