ﭢ ﭣ ﭤ ﭥ ﭦ ﭧ ﭨ ﭩ ﭪ ﭫ ﭬ
ﭭ ﭮ ﭯ ﭰ ﭱ ﭲ ﭳ ﭴ ﭵ ٧ ٧
ﭷ ﭸ ﭹ ﭺ ﭻ ﭼ ﭽ ﭾ ﭿ
ﮀ ﮁ ﮂ ﮃ ﮄ ٨ ٨
ﮆ ﮇ ﮈ ﮉ ﮊ ﮋ ﮌ ﮍ ﮎ ﮏ
ﮐ ﮑ ﮒ ﮓ ﮔ ﮕ ﮖ ﮗ ﮘ ٩ ٩
ﮚ ﮛ ﮜ ﮝ ﮞ ﮟ ﮠ ﮡ ﮢ ﮣ ﮤ
ﮥ ﮦ ﮧ ﮨ ﮩ ﮪ ﮫ ١٠ ١٠ ﮭ
ﮮ ﮯ ﮰ ﮱ ﯓ ﯔ ﯕ ﯖ ﯗ ﯘ
١١ ١١ ﯚ ﯛ ﯜ ﯝ ﯞ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ ﯢ
ﯣ ﯤ ﯥ ﯦ ﯧ ﯨ ﯩ ﯪ
١٢ ١٢ ﯬ ﯭ ﯮ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﯲ ﯳ ﯴ
ﯵ ﯶ ﯷ ﯸ ﯹ ﯺ ﯻ ﯼ ١٣ ١٣
وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَرۡضِعِيهِۖ فَإِذَا خِفۡتِ عَلَيۡهِ فَأَلۡقِيهِ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ وَلَا تَخَافِي وَلَا تَحۡزَنِيٓۖ إِنَّا رَآدُّوهُ إِلَيۡكِ وَجَاعِلُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ٧
This indicates that Allah inspires the believers with faith and what is beneficial to them by prompting them, even if they are not Prophets. Ibn Taimyah: 5/70.
Question: The verse shows Allah's favor upon the believers. Explain.
وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَرۡضِعِيهِۖ فَإِذَا خِفۡتِ عَلَيۡهِ فَأَلۡقِيهِ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ وَلَا تَخَافِي وَلَا تَحۡزَنِيٓۖ إلى قوله تعالى وَقَالَتۡ لِأُخۡتِهِۦ قُصِّيهِۖ
Even if a person knows that the divine will and decree and the promise of Allah will inevitably come to pass, he should not neglect to take proper measures as Allah has instructed, and that is not contrary to faith in the promise of Allah. Allah promised the mother of Moses that He would return her son to her, yet she took measures to bring him back, and she sent his sister to track him down, and find out where he was. Al-Saadi: 619.
Question: Moses' mother sent his sister to track him down. Does that contradict her belief in Allah's promise?
وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَرۡضِعِيهِۖ فَإِذَا خِفۡتِ عَلَيۡهِ فَأَلۡقِيهِ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ وَلَا تَخَافِي وَلَا تَحۡزَنِيٓۖ إِنَّا رَآدُّوهُ إِلَيۡكِ وَجَاعِلُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ٧
She was ordered to nurse him so he would be fit and content with his mother's milk. Moreover, this last nursing would strengthen him before being cast into the river, giving him energy to last him until he would be picked up by Pharaoh's family and taken to Pharaoh's palace. Ibn Ashur: 20/73.
Question: Moses' mother was ordered to nurse him before casting him into the river. Why?
وَقَالَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ قُرَّتُ عَيۡنٖ لِّي وَلَكَۖ لَا تَقۡتُلُوهُ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَنفَعَنَآ أَوۡ نَتَّخِذَهُۥ وَلَدٗا وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ ٩
The presence of righteous people among corruptors alleviates the intensity of corruption. Pharaoh's wife was a reason for averting Pharaoh from killing the child despite of him being an Israelite. Ibn Ashur: 20/86.
Question: The presence of the righteous among corruptors alleviates corruption intensity. Explain.
عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَنفَعَنَآ أَوۡ نَتَّخِذَهُۥ وَلَدٗا
Allah decreed that he should be a source of benefit to the wife of Pharaoh who said these words, for when he became a source of joy to her, and she loved him dearly, he continued to be like a loving son toward her, until he grew up, and Allah made him a Prophet and a Messenger. Then she hastened to submit and believe in him. May Allah be pleased with her and make her pleased. Al-Saadi: 612.
Question: Did Pharaoh’s wife benefit from her compassion toward Moses?
وَأَصۡبَحَ فُؤَادُ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰ فَٰرِغًاۖ إِن كَادَتۡ لَتُبۡدِي بِهِۦ لَوۡلَآ أَن رَّبَطۡنَا عَلَىٰ قَلۡبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ١٠
If , when calamity befalls a person, he remains patient and steadfast, his faith increases thereby. This indicates that continuing to be panic-stricken is a sign of weakness of faith. Al-Saadi: 613.
Question: What is the link between becoming panic-stricken and the level of faith?
وَأَصۡبَحَ فُؤَادُ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰ فَٰرِغًاۖ إِن كَادَتۡ لَتُبۡدِي بِهِۦ لَوۡلَآ أَن رَّبَطۡنَا عَلَىٰ قَلۡبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ١٠
It is said that her heart was devoid of everything except the thought of Moses. Ibn Taimyah: 5/70.
Question: Mother’s love for her children is immense. Explain in view of this verse.
