Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 84

وَٱجۡعَل لِّي لِسَانَ صِدۡقٖ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ٨٤

(An honorable mention among the later generations), praised and ever-honored, as most interpreters said. Ibn Atiyah: 4/235.
Question: What is meant by: (An honorable mention among the later generations)?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 88 - 89

يَوۡمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٞ وَلَا بَنُونَ ٨٨ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلۡبٖ سَلِيمٖ ٨٩

This means that wealth will only benefit those who spent it for the sake of Allah. Ibn Juzay: 2/119.
Question: When will wealth be beneficial on the Day of Resurrection?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 89

إِلَّا مَنۡ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلۡبٖ سَلِيمٖ ٨٩

The heart is singled out for mention because if it is healthy, the whole body is healthy, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Al-Qurtubi: 16/44.
Question: The heart is singled out for mention. Why?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 95

وَجُنُودُ إِبۡلِيسَ أَجۡمَعُونَ ٩٥

(And the soldiers of Iblees), his descendants, and everyone following him, since they become his soldiers and helpers. Ibn Atiyah: 4/236.
Question: When does man become one of the soldiers of Iblees?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 100 - 101

فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَٰفِعِينَ ١٠٠ وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٖ ١٠١

Qatadah said: They will know for sure that a righteous friend will benefit them, and a close friend will intercede for them. Ibn Kathir: 3/329.
Question: How does this verse exhort people to have righteous friends?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 106

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ نُوحٌ

(When their brother) in kinship, (Noah said to them), Allah sent the Messengers from the same tribe or clan as that to whom He sent them, lest they be reluctant to submit to him, and because they would know his real character, so they would not need to ask and find out about him. Al-Saadi: 594.
Question: Allah sent the Messengers from the same tribe or clan of their people. Why?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 111

قَالُوٓاْ أَنُؤۡمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلۡأَرۡذَلُونَ ١١١

Thus, it is clear that they were too arrogant to accept the truth and they were ignorant of the real facts. If their aim had been to find out the truth, they would have said, if they had any confusion or doubt about his message: Prove to us the validity of the message that you have brought by means of valid arguments and proofs. Al-Saadi: 594.
Question: This verse shows that they were too arrogant to follow the truth. How?
