ﭮ ﭯ ﭰ ﭱ ٨٠ ٨٠ ﭳ ﭴ ﭵ ﭶ ﭷ
ﭸ ﭹ ﭺ ٨١ ٨١ ﭼ ﭽ ﭾ ﭿ ﮀ
ﮁ ﮂ ٨٢ ٨٢ ﮄ ﮅ ﮆ ﮇ ﮈ ﮉ ﮊ
ﮋ ﮌ ٨٣ ٨٣ ﮎ ﮏ ﮐ ﮑ ﮒ ﮓ ﮔ ﮕ ٨٤ ٨٤
ﮗ ﮘ ﮙ ﮚ ﮛ ﮜ ٨٥ ٨٥ ﮞ ﮟ
ﮠ ﮡ ﮢ ٨٦ ٨٦ ﮤ ﮥ ﮦ ﮧ ﮨ ﮩ ﮪ
ﮫ ﮬ ٨٧ ٨٧ ﮮ ﮯ ﮰ ﮱ ٨٨ ٨٨ ﯔ
ﯕ ﯖ ﯗ ٨٩ ٨٩ ﯙ ﯚ ﯛ ﯜ
ﯝ ﯞ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ ٩٠ ٩٠ ﯣ ﯤ ﯥ ﯦ
٩١ ٩١ ﯨ ﯩ ﯪ ﯫ ﯬ ﯭ ٩٢ ٩٢ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﯲ
ﯳ ﯴ ﯵ ﯶ ﯷ ﯸ ٩٣ ٩٣ ﯺ ﯻ
ﯼ ﯽ ٩٤ ٩٤ ﯿ ﰀ ﰁ ﰂ ﰃ ٩٥ ٩٥
وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأۡتِينَا فَرۡدٗا ٨٠
Meaning: We will take away the wealth and children that We have given him in this worldly life. Ibn Abbas (k) said: "It means that We will inherit his wealth and children after We destroy him." Moreover, it is said: "We will deprive him of what he wished for in the Hereafter, and give them to Muslims." (And he will come to Us alone), only himself, with no wealth, children or a tribe to help him. Al-Qurtubi: 13/509.
Question: Using these verses, how do you advise one who is deluded by his wealth, authority, and children?
وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأۡتِينَا فَرۡدٗا ٨٠
This verse was revealed about one of the polytheists, Al-'As bin Wael Al-Sahmy, when he claimed that he would be given wealth and children in the Hereafter. Inheriting his children means that they would become Muslims, and they did. Amr bin Al-'as, the Companion, and Hisham bin Al-'as, the Companion who was martyred in the Battle of Ajnadayn. This was a glad tidings to the Prophet (ﷺ) and vexation and enragement of Al-'as bin Wael. Ibn Ashur: 16/163.
Question: In this verse, what is the meaning of inheriting the children of Al-'As bin Wael Al-Sahmy?
وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةٗ لِّيَكُونُواْ لَهُمۡ عِزّٗا ٨١ كَلَّاۚ سَيَكۡفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ضِدًّا ٨٢
If a servant relies on other than Allah, and attaches his hopes to that, he will be doomed; and if he seeks help from other than Allah, he will be forsaken. Ibn Taimyah: 4/292.
Question: This verse indicates that If a servant relies on other than Allah and attaches his hopes to that, he will be doomed. How?
يَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ وَفۡدٗا ٨٥
The righteous will come to the Most Merciful, hoping for His mercy and abundant grace, and hoping to attain His gifts in His Paradise, because of what they sent on ahead of good deeds, fearing Him and seeking His pleasure. Al-Saadi: 500.
Question: What will the righteous expect from their Lord when they are gathered to Him on the Day of Resurrection?
وَنَسُوقُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرۡدٗا ٨٦
They will be driven toward Hellfire, thirsty - which is the worst state one may be in. They will be driven by way of humiliation and disgrace to the greatest prison and worst punishment, namely Hellfire, in a state of thirst and exhaustion. Al-Saadi: 500.
Question: This verse depicts an awful picture for the polytheists on the Day of Resurrection. Explain.
لَّا يَمۡلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا ٨٧
Allah describes belief in Him and following His Messengers as a covenant, because He has promised in His Books and on the lips of His Messengers an abundant reward for those who follow them. Al-Saadi: 501.
Question: Allah describes belief in Him and following His Messengers as a covenant. Why?
تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلۡجِبَالُ هَدًّا ٩٠ أَن دَعَوۡاْ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ وَلَدٗا ٩١
Ibn Abbas (k) said: "Verily, the heavens, the earth, the mountains and all creatures – except for humans and jinn – are frightened by the associating of partners with Allah." Ibn Kathir: 3/135.
Question: The mountains and trees can be more sensible than some people. Explain in light of this verse.
