(Say, "I have no power to benefit) I cannot benefit myself by gaining a profit; (or harm myself) or fend off harm from myself. Al-Baghawi: 2/178.
Question: How do you set right the beliefs of one who asks the Prophet (ﷺ) for help?

Al-A'raf Verses 0 - 188

Those who believe are singled out for the glad tidings and warning because they are the ones who actually benefit from them. Ibn Juzay: 1/332.
Question: Those who believe are singled out for the glad tidings and warning. Why?

Al-A'raf Verses 0 - 190

(But when He gives them a healthy child), according to their request, and He completes the blessing upon them (they ascribed partners to Him in that which He has given them), that is, they ascribe partners to Allah with regard to that child -whom only Allah brought into being and blessed them with, thus bringing joy to his parents- by giving him a name suggesting that he is a slave (abd) of something other than Allah, such as Abdul-Harith, Abdul-Uzza, Abdul-Ka'bah, and so on, or they join others with Allah in worship, after Allah bestowed upon them blessings no one could enumerate. Al-Saadi: 311.
Question: State two examples of being ungrateful for the blessing of offspring?

Al-A'raf Verses 0 - 190

Then, Allah created the offspring in the wombs of the mothers during a specified period in which they long for the child and pray to Allah to bring him forth safe and sound. Moreover, Allah completes His blessing to them and grants them their request. Does He not deserve that they should worship Him alone and not ascribe any partner to Him in their worship, and devote their worship solely to Him? But they did the opposite, and ascribed to Him partners who (cannot create anything, but are themselves created ` They cannot help them), namely their worshippers (nor can they help themselves). Al-Saadi: 311.
Question: State an example of the ignorance and disbelief of the polytheists?

Al-A'raf Verses 0 - 195

Then, Allah, the Almighty, rebuked them and discredited their thinking, saying, (Do they have feet to walk with? Or hands to grasp with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with...), which means that you are actually better then these idols, so how come you are worshiping them? The aim of this verse is to expose their ignorance. Al-Qurtubi: 9/416.
Question: In light of this verse, Allah favored us over the polytheists. How?

Al-A'raf Verses 0 - 195

Allah singles out for mention the feet, hands, eyes and ears because they are the tools for attaining knowledge, striving and overpowering to achieve victory. Ibn Ashur: 9/222.
