Allah states that He spoke to Moses directly and informed him that He had chosen him above the people of his time with His Message and His words. Here, we should mention that there is no doubt that Muhammad (ﷺ) is the chief of all the Children of Adam, the former and later among them. This is why Allah has chosen him to be the final and last Prophet and Messenger, whose Sharia shall remain dominant and valid until the commencement of the Last Hour, and his followers exceed in number the followers of all Prophets and Messengers. Question: Does this verse indicate the preference of Moses over our Prophet ()?

When Allah did not allow him to see Him -after he had longed for that- He bestowed much good upon him. Al-Saadi: 302.
Question: If Allah withholds a good thing from a true believer, He gives him something better instead. How can you infer this rule from the above verse?

(Take them with determination), take it with earnestness and diligence. It is also said that it means: Take it with strength of heart and good resolve, because if it is taken with weak intention, it will lead to slackness. Al-Baghawi: 2/152.
Question: How should we take the revelation of Allah as commanded by Him?

This verse indicates that from among the revelations, there is good and there is best. Ibn Taimyah: 3/198.
Question: Becoming closer to Allah by following His revelation can be at different levels. Explain in the light of this verse.

Ibn Abbas ()said: "[Allah says]: I will turn away from My signs those who deal with My servants arrogantly, and fight My allies, so that they will not believe in Me." This means: I will turn them away from accepting and believing My signs. They were punished by being precluded from guidance, as Allah says, (And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate)[61:5]. Al-Baghawi: 2/152.
Question: What are the severest punishment for arrogant people?

One of the righteous predecessors said: "Knowledge cannot be attained by a shy person or an arrogant one." Another said: "Whoever does not endure the humility to learn for an hour, will remain humiliated by his ignorance forever." Ibn Kathir: 2/237.
Question: This verse states some guidelines for a student who seeks knowledge. What are they?

Since a copy of the Quran can only be touched after purifying the body, also the Quranic meanings can only be perceived by the pure hearts whereas impure hearts will not grasp its truths. This is a valid meaning, as Allah says, (I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant in the land without any right). One of the righteous predecessors said: "[Allah says], I will prevent their hearts from comprehending the Quran." Ibn Taimyah: 3/198.
Question: The risk of arrogance is that it prevents from comprehending the Quran. Explain
