ﭩ ﭪ ﭫ ﭬ ﭭ ﭮ ﭯ ﭰ ﭱ
ﭲ ﭳ ٩٦ ٩٦ ﭵ ﭶ ﭷ ﭸ ﭹ ﭺ
ﭻ ﭼ ﭽ ﭾ ﭿ ﮀ ﮁ ﮂ ﮃ ﮄ ﮅ
٩٧ ٩٧ ﮇ ﮈ ﮉ ﮊ ﮋ ﮌ ﮍ ﮎ ﮏ
ﮐ ﮑ ﮒ ﮓ ﮔ ٩٨ ٩٨ ﮖ ﮗ ﮘ ﮙ
ﮚ ﮛ ﮜ ﮝ ﮞ ﮟ ﮠ ﮡ ﮢ
ﮣ ﮤ ﮥ ﮦ ﮧ ﮨ ﮩ ﮪ ﮫ ﮬ
ﮭ ﮮ ﮯ ﮰ ﮱ ﯓ ﯔ ﯕ
ﯖ ﯗ ﯘ ﯙ ﯚ ﯛ ﯜ ﯝ ﯞ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ
ﯢ ﯣ ﯤ ٩٩ ٩٩ ﯦ ﯧ ﯨ ﯩ ﯪ ﯫ
ﯬ ﯭ ﯮ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﯲ ﯳ ﯴ ﯵ ﯶ
١٠٠ ١٠٠ ﯸ ﯹ ﯺ ﯻ ﯼ ﯽ ﯾ ﯿ ﰀ ﰁ ﰂ
ﰃ ﰄ ﰅ ﰆ ﰇ ﰈ ﰉ ﰊ ﰋ ﰌ ١٠١ ١٠١
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ فَالِقُ ٱلۡحَبِّ وَٱلنَّوَىٰۖ يُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡحَيَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَيِّتِ وَمُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَيِّتِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَيِّۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ ٩٥
Allah mentions many wonders of His making that the idols of disbelievers are helpless to make the smallest of them. Al-Qurtubi: 8/465.
Question: What is the wisdom behind mentioning the wonders of Allah's creation in this verse?
يُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡحَيَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَيِّتِ وَمُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَيِّتِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَيِّۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ ٩٥ فَالِقُ ٱلۡإِصۡبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ ٱلَّيۡلَ سَكَنٗا وَٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَ حُسۡبَانٗاۚ
Allah reminds of His ability to create diversified and contrasting things which testify to His perfect greatness and supreme power. Ibn Kathir: 2/150.
Question: Allah is able of creating diversified and contrasting things. What does that indicate?
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلنُّجُومَ لِتَهۡتَدُواْ بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِۗ قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يَعۡلَمُونَ ٩٧
This verse and similar verses indicate that it is permitted to learn about the movement and positions of the stars, a science that is called astronomy, as navigation is not possible without it. Al-Saadi: 266.
Question: What is lawful and the unlawful about learning the movement of the stars?
قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يَعۡلَمُونَ ٩٨
Meaning: For people of knowledge, as they are the ones who are addressed here and from whom a response is required; unlike the ignorant and harsh people who turn away from the signs of Allah, and from the knowledge brought by the Messengers, as detailing will be of no benefit to them, an explanation will not dispel their confusion, and clarification will not resolve their uncertainty. Al-Saadi: 266.
Question: The people of knowledge were selected to be addressed with detailing of the signs. Why?
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّخۡلِ مِن طَلۡعِهَا قِنۡوَانٞ دَانِيَةٞ
The clusters of dates hanging low are mentioned to show the power and grace of Allah, and for people to be grateful for the proximity of its fruit. Al-Qurtubi: 8/472.
Question: Why are the clusters of dates hanging low selected for mention in this verse?
ٱنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثۡمَرَ وَيَنۡعِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكُمۡ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ ٩٩
Take a look with contemplation, not an empty glance. Al-Qurtubi: 8/472.
Question: What is the commanded look in this verse?
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكُمۡ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ ٩٩
The faith of the believers makes them strive in accordance with its requirements and demands, part of which is to contemplate the signs of Allah and learn from them the intended lessons, and what they guide to, as validated by sound reason, common sense and Islamic teachings. Al-Saadi: 267.
Question: Why are the believers selected to benefit from the signs of Allah?
