Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 112

Noah said to his people: How would I know what my followers are doing? I care only about their outward behavior, and I am not commanded to search for their private deeds. Therefore, whoever shows good deeds, I would think positively of him, and whoever shows bad deeds, I would think negatively of him. He says: The reckoning for their private deeds is only with my Lord if you realize, because He knows their private and public deeds. Al-Tabari: 19/370.
Question: The preacher is not responsible for people's private deeds. Explain in view of this verse.

They demanded from him to drive away the weak and poor people, just like Quraish did. (I am only a clear warner), Allah has not sent me to the rich people only, I am only a Messenger, conveying to you the message I was sent with. Therefore, whoever obeyed me, would be the winner with Allah, even if he was poor. Al-Qurtubi: 16/53.
Question: Is the Prophets' message exclusive to the rich?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 128

The phase of admonishment is wider than that of changing the wrong. Hence, Hūd's (u) admonishment was directed to the sicknesses in their souls, and it contained no direction to change what they had built of landmarks and palaces. Ibn Ashur: 19/166.
Question: Did Hūd (u) denounce his people for erecting buildings?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 128 - 130

Prophet Hūd's (u) rebuke to his people indicates that their hearts were overwhelmed with love for this worldly life and arrogance until it drew them away from submission to Allah. Al-Alusi: 10/108.
Question: What is the consequence of an exaggerated love for worldly life?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 133

In counting the blessings, the mention of livestock came first because it was the biggest blessing for those who lived there at the time. From livestock, they get their food, clothing, and means for travel. Ibn Ashur: 19/170.
Question: In this verse, the mention of livestock comes first. Why?

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 136

The people of Aad had reached a great level of power and control over the land, which led them to say, (Who is more powerful than us) [41:15]. A long period of time passed over them, and through which they pursued their desires and lusts and became intensely boastful. They neglected the important aspect for humans, which is the religion and the purity of the soul. They made light of their obligations toward Allah and ridiculed those who advised them. Ibn Ashur: 19/165.
Question: Explain the risk of the abundance of blessings on a community that is heedless of the remembrance of Allah.

Ash-Shu'ara Verses 0 - 136

(They said, "It is the same to us whether you admonish us or not"), we are indifferent to what you say; we do not hear, nor care about what you say. Al-Qurtubi: 16/59.
Question: Explain the situation of those with hardened hearts when they are admonished and reminded of Allah, the Almighty.
