Ibn Abbas () said: "When Allah brings the hearts together, nothing can draw them apart," then he read this verse. Ibn Kathir: 2/309.
Question: If you want to bring your brethren's hearts together, what is the most important thing to start with?

Al-Anfal Verses 0 - 63

Meaning: Allah brought together the hearts of the Aws and Khazraj. Reconciling the hearts of feuding Arab tribes was a miracle of the Prophet (ﷺ), as before that when one of them is slapped on his face, he never rests until he avenges it. They were the most proud among all people, but Allah brought them together through faith to the extent that a man would fight against his father and brother for the religion of Islam. Al-Qurtubi: 10/67.
Question: True faith has its signs upon the community. Explain.

Al-Anfal Verses 0 - 64

This is a promise from Allah to His believing servants who follow His Messenger (ﷺ) that He will suffice and support them against their enemies. Therefore, if they take proper measures, namely believing and following the Prophet (ﷺ), He will surely suffice them with regard to what concerns them of both spiritual and worldly matters. That support will not be granted when its conditions are not met. Al-Saadi: 325
Question: What are the conditions of Allah's support and help for His allies?

Al-Anfal Verses 0 - 65

(For they are a people who do not understand), which means that they fight with no faith or clear insight, so they do not endure. Ibn Juzay: 1/348.
Question: This verse mentions an irrefutable condition for victory, what is it?

Al-Anfal Verses 0 - 65

(They are a people who do not understand), they have no knowledge of what Allah has prepared for those who strive in His cause, so they fight in order to become supreme in the land and to spread mischief therein, whereas you understand the purpose of fighting, which is to make the word of Allah supreme, cause His religion to prevail, defend the Book of Allah, and to attain the greatest success with Allah. All of these are basis for courage, steadfastness and determination to fight. Al-Saadi: 326.
Question: What is the importance of understanding the meanings behind Jihad to overcome the enemies?

Al-Anfal Verses 0 - 67

(You desire), O believers, (the perishable goods of this world), by accepting ransom, (but Allah desires the Hereafter) He wants for you the reward of the Hereafter by defeating the polytheists, and supporting the religion of Allah, and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. Al-Baghawi: 2/239.
Question: During battle, many different intentions surface, so what is the intention favored by Allah?

Al-Anfal Verses 0 - 67

(The perishable goods of this world), it is wealth, and it is called perishable goods because people's enjoyment of it is very brief; similar to a quick passage of a moving object. Ibn Ashur: 10/76.
