Al-Ma'idah Verses 0 - 14

This is a clear statement that the neglection of Christians to some of what was enjoined upon them became a cause for enmity and hatred, which are forbidden among them. This proves that neglecting to perform a duty leads to committing forbidden acts such as enmity and hatred. Ibn Taimyah: 2/260.
Question: Neglecting to perform a duty leads to committing forbidden acts. Explain.

Al-Ma'idah Verses 0 - 14

Meaning: Those who call themselves Christians and followers of Jesus son of Mary, while in fact they are not as they claim; We took from them the covenant and pledges that they would follow the Prophet (ﷺ), aid and honor him and follow his footsteps, and that they would believe in every Prophet whom Allah sent to the people of the earth, but they imitated the Jews, and broke the promises and the pledges. Ibn Kathir: 2/32.
Question: What was the covenant that Allah took upon the Christians?

Al-Ma'idah Verses 0 - 14

We planted enmity and hatred between them, and they will remain like this until the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, the numerous Christian sects have always been enemies and adversaries of each other,  disowning and cursing one another. Each sect among them excommunicates the other sects and does not allow them entrance to its place of worship. Ibn Kathir: 2/32.
Question: How does Allah punish the Christians with animosity? What is the extent of it?

Al-Ma'idah Verses 0 - 15

Allah commands them all to believe in Muhammad (ﷺ), and presents them with definitive proof of the truthfulness of his prophethood, which is disclosing to them much of that which they were concealing from the people, even from the common folks within their religion. The fact that the Messenger (ﷺ) brought this great Quran which disclosed what they had been concealing amongst themselves - while he was unlettered and could neither read nor write - is one of the clearest proofs of the truthfulness of his message. Al-Saadi: 226.
Question: This verse is a proof of the Prophethood of Muhammad (ﷺ). Explain.

Al-Ma'idah Verses 0 - 16

Allah guides thereby the one who strives and is keen to attain His pleasure, and whose intention is good, to ways of peace and safety that will save him from punishment and enable him to reach paradise. This refers to the knowledge of the truth and acting upon it, in general and in detail. Al-Saadi: 226.
Question: What should one do to be guided by the Quran? What is meant by ways of peace?

Al-Ma'idah Verses 0 - 17

If the Messiah were a god, as Christians claim, he would have -at least- defended himself, but he could not even defend his mother against death. Since he is powerless to defend his own mother, then he is even less able to defend anyone else. Al-Shawkani: Al-Shamilah: 2/29.
Question: In light of this verse, how do you respond to Christians who claim the divinity of Jesus ()?

Al-Ma'idah Verses 0 - 17

There is no reason for their bewilderment that the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was created without a father, for Allah creates whatever He wills. If He wills, He creates a human from a mother and father like all the children of Adam; or if He wills, He creates a human from a father without a mother like Eve (Hawwa'), or from a mother without a father like Jesus, or without a father or a mother like Adam. Al-Saadi: 227.
Question: In light of this verse: (He creates what He wills), how do you respond to Christians who claim that the Messiah is a god since he was created without a father?
